furthermore, what does he judge a fine CE and a bannable CE at? if he likes their gimmick or not?
also, CE tools/access isnt exclusive, just research them or ask CE for access. round too short? make it last longer. impossible without coding? then code it

Bro I'm not AFK - I'm just standing in my office without moving an inch until somebody goes out of their way to realise "oh we do have a CE he's just standing perfectly still in his office and won't budge until we go out of our way to engage him".

If you were almost ANY other role literally nobody would care (I've more or less done this gimmick as AI before and nobody notices or cares), but you're doing it as CE - probably the most sought after head role in the game if only because having "chief" in front of your job means you get to say "no fuck you I'm CE I decide what autistic engine we're doing".

Hell if you want to afk as a head role you could literally get away with any of the others - HoP is basically designated as AFK, nobody gives a shit about CMO and RD, Captain has no responsibilities with HoS being the closest to CE (mostly due to how often you're one of 1-2 seccies)

I did basic CE duty, if there was something wrong with the station, I fixed it. If I was the only head role, I secured caps.

People want to play CE, you're taking it to do the bare minimum while you watch YouTube vids.

Asking "BUT WHAT IS CE MEANT TO DO" is like asking "WHAT IS ASSISTANT MEANT TO DO" after being banned because all they do is grief sec doors. The answer is 'not the shit you're doing'.

This whole appeal hinges upon "am I being a dickhead by hogging a sought after role so that I can name myself a joke and watch YouTube while my character stands perfectly still - something I could do as ANY OTHER JOB?". Apparently the consensus here is that it is.
