TG looks bad but it's more TG nowadays than /tg/ (and that's a good thing!). I type it /tg/ but if I had the opportunity to I might restyle it as tg like traditional games though that might be insufferable so I'm not sure.

It's /tg/, since the server originated from the SS13 threads on 4chan's /tg/.

We are, quite obviously, not related to 4chan anymore, but the name doesn't make sense outside of that context. So it's /tg/.

/tg/ stands for "traditional games station"

tg stands for "total gaylord" station

It's /tg/ but I get why people type it as tg.
If you type /TG/ or TG I don't like you though.

people only care about this when they have no other arguments to make about why tg is bad these days.

You can say TG, or /tg/, or tee gee, or tgstation, or TGstation however you want. As long as people know you mean /tg/station and not anything else, it's okay.

i personally say /tg/ but it does not matter at all, always a laff when people try to say "it's TG not /tg/" like it's a zinger. basically what oranges said
