Regarding ethereal naming policy.

we all know ethereals are expected to follow: [STAR NAME] [ROMAN NUMBER] naming template. uranus xd doesn’t follow this so this is a banned name. But what if someone possibly paid an astronomer to discover a star and name it something like Amogus or Sus or Joenuts? In this case an ethereal named AMOGUS XD becomes an inevitable occurrence. How would tgstation’s wise admin team deal with this crisis?

Who stops me from doing something like that right now? Is there some kind of meme police that would slap me in the balls if i tried pulling shit like that? Please respond.

the format is actually [CELESTIAL BODY] [1-2 CAPITAL LETTERS]

but yes the point is that the celestial body could realistically exist in ss13 too, meme-names are not really following the format in good faith

Someone tried this when he got name-banned for refusing to stop using a meme ethereal name. He was informed that it doesn't count unless they get the IAU itself to recognise it.

Just use your brain, be creative, something like Regulus-Amogus sounds good. It's a binary star in Leo constellation.

Even if it's a real star name if it's bad the admins should just remove it

Hey everyone this is a public service announcement, do not under any circumstances search this database for "EPIC", "Bootis" or "Sextantis", thanks in advance.
