ill be honest, I'm actually not sure that FATAL is right here, despite how stupid admincomplaining being smited is. That clause is for orders which are abusive to the AI player (As it uses the examples to show), not orders which are annoying for other characters.

The way I see it, there are two types of AIs when it comes to orders like this: those who ignore/stall, and those who just do it. I personally like AI players who “just do it” more because I think they are putting their laws before themselves, which I think is cool (although absolutely don’t expect from every (or even any) silicon player).

Now the selfless part of just automatically (alternatively: stoically or mindlessly) following orders is that it’s a lot more often for this type of player to have their round come to a premature end, which is what happened here. The expectation when this happens is that admins will hold the player who abused/weaponized asimov responsible, which did not happen here.

Seeing as fatal was the one who actually did the round removing, I feel as if he could have at least saw to it that the person responsible for this was punished too. I also think it’s lame that he kept the AI out of the round when it wasn’t even his intention to kill it, however getting round removed is the expectation when you play AI this way, so complaining does sort of change the AI’s automatic response from a stoic one to a mindless one (and I can’t blame someone for having less sympathy for the latter!)

The circumstances of a highlander round on april fools do go a way towards explaining fatals actions, however I don’t think he should be picking and choosing where to uphold the rules in a meme round and where to abandon them (killing a player for wgw but not caring to punish the person responsible).

Despite all that I’m not even sure I can fault someone for looking at this as simply as “say annoying shit like WGW, get shit on” so I won’t be too devastated when it’s inevitably closed. ;_;

You're allowed to refuse orders that would explicitly break the rules. If a player tells you to send creepy rule 8 breaking content or say something horrifically racist, you're still culpable for doing it. You don't get a pass just because you're playing AI and were ordered to do it.
