I hate you, your playstyle is trash and it is ruining the game. If I want to play coinflip with all of my online playmoney, I'd dig out my roulette wheel and pretend to be drunk in las vegas, but I'm not, I'm playing cool poker with strangers, except I'm not, you're just a fucking kid who doesn't understand anything about the game and hits the all-in button whenever his dried out mole-eyes see a bright colour on the screen, I am sick and tired of taking all your stupid money out of your pocket to bully you off the table so I can play with normal humans, please cast your phone into the sea and never touch a card in your life again, thank you.

gambling is part of insanity, take it from me I'm semi-insane. The fun of gambling is the chance of losing everything, so when I see the bright lights. Either one my PTSD from ss13 happens thinking I've been flash banged or two I go all fucking in. And that's why I owe a lot of money to the government and change my last name slightly every 1-2 years

Gambling is one addiction I always thought was incredibly dumb and subsequently have not found my life worsened by. Giving people money for things that isn't worth it is allowing yourself to be made a fool of.

The nature of gambling is terrifying. You remember the thrill of the fear from risking it all, the fun of it is enough to drive you insane. So, let's go all in! The only one who can decide your worth.. is you. If you want to earn something, you need to reach out for it. Pro-athletes give up their teenage years to train. Business owners put up collateral to borrow money. That’s how it always works. To make your ambitions come true, you have to take risks. The larger the ambition the greater the risk. That might involve time or enough work to affect your lifespan… So make your choice. Live in peace as a wannabe or risk losing it all to reach the very top. You’re the one who needs to decide!

gambling is only fun when there's a big skill component involved and you're playing against other gamblers, not the house (ie. poker)

You're saying this like playing poker normally ain't risky enough, but I ain't biting. If you want to make it to the top by going all-in with every blind hand, good luck, but you will lose. Personally, I want to enjoy the part about poker that is about taking risks and also managing risks, you know sometimes I just want to risk a little bit, sometimes I think my hand is worth a risk of $50.000 and not $500 million. I think applying the slightest bit of common sense and reason to your poker-playstyle does not barr you from making it to the top and enjoying massive success.

i saw a film about woman called molly's game and it taught me that gambling is for men who women do not want to have sex with and that aaron sorkin just wants to condescend to people, especially women

also tugboat maguire is a cunt

Throwing it all down without any cards on the table is the real garbage shit. There's no calculated risk, no playing the odds, no hedging bets - it's just putting a ton in and going "lol chase me with what you have in hand or don't." No trying to read what other people have, no trying to figure out if the flop favors you or your opponents more, no trying to bait bets out of people, etc.

It's immersing yourself in the risk without trying to earn the actual potential for reward.
