I was a picky eater as a child and tomatoes were one of those foods I would gag when forced to eat but eventually I learned to make peace with them and realised they just taste like water and gross.

I was the exact same I can eat british tomatos in any way but when they're raw they make me want to gag

which is a shame because I'm totally fine with them on bruschetta in italy so it has to just be that they're bred to roll around trucks without breaking
