I used to, ironically, be really scared of the undead. I'm not joking. I used to have a reoccurring nightmare as a child about the dead rising up to grab me and drag me under the earth. I think it had to do with the Dead Hand and Redeads from Ocarina of Time.

You can probably guess that I've long since overcome that fear. I am a jumpy person though so shit kinda spooks me all the time. My reflexes are too hard wired for their own good.

When I was a kid I regularly had zombie apocalypse dreams. Just dreams of the world getting destroyed and my family being killed with me being powerless to stop it.

Then I got gud at Left 4 Dead and they went away. Thank you, GabeN.

When I was younger my parents watched crime programs and in one of them, a home invasion lead to the victim having their tendons cut in their wrists and ankles so they couldn't escape.

Imagine you're 10m underwater, you start drowning, sinking, you are almost passed out and you are still sinking, it's getting dark, not because you're passing out but because that's how the ocean is, you cannot breathe, you finally pass out

Speaking of drowning, i had a close call with drowning in an indoor swimming pool
They had a big whirlpool roundabout setup, and i was too short to stand on the ground and i almost drowned but i could free myself with some of my last power (luckily I hadn't swallowed water yet)

for me it's my phone buzzing and the thought that when i check it it could realistically be a government alert saying that a nuclear weapon is inbound to my area and will arrive in 5 minutes or whatever. i dont really have a nearby shelter so i guess i would just pray that it was a false alarm like when this happened, then maybe rattle out a post somewhere telling my family and friends that i love and will miss them before hunkering down and waiting. i dont know what i would do at that point.
