Because nothing is more rage inducing

Questions for those Americans out there.

What party are you?
Who do you think are the best candidate so far for President and Vice President?
Are you going to vote or stay home and smoke weed?

Supplementary video to lighten the soon to be shitting mood.

Politics?
So for todays topic, would you rather:

1: Throw a 2d20 and be kicked in the balls that number of times
2: Ship your computer and your fish tank (full) together uninsured through UPS.
3: There are three cups, you shit in one, your worst enemy shits in the other, and the last remains empty. One of them is chosen at random and thrown at your face.

Politics? It's August of 2015. The election is in November of 2016. Why are we talking about politics? Can't we at least wait until March?

Frankly I think its refreshing to have someone running who is really willing to speak his mind and make moves other candidates are too scared to make. I may not agree with everything Trump says but I have more respect for the man willing to speak his mind than the man who plays it safe for politics sake.

As long as Bernie "Literally a Jewish Communist" Sanders or Shillery "Why am I even here?" Clinton doesn't win I'll be content.

Kudos to American republicans for proving a right wing party can be good at absolutely nothing and still get voted in because of stupid angry seniors.

USA's winner takes it all voting system is fundamentally flawed and (besides making Bush president with less votes than his competitor) has thoroughly prevented any chance of new parties besides the Republicans and Democrats to ever get any power.

The worst part is that the whole system is actually completely set up and prepared for a multi-party presidential election. The only thing stopping it is the fact nearly every state assigns their votes in a winner-take-all first-past-the-post system. If they did it sensibly and assigned the seats proportional to each party's vote percentage, suddenly third parties would have actual, legitimate sway because they'd be getting enough votes to matter.

That's not even getting into how it makes every minority share vote irrelevant. There's no point voting unless you live in Ohio or Florida, basically. Hell, there's no point in the candidates even campaigning anywhere else. If I was running, day 1 I would go to Ohio. Day 130 I would still be in Ohio. 3 votes in Ohio is worth way more than even 300,000 votes in California.

Yes and no.
Minority share votes don't always count, but if you look at my state, Illinois, for instance, we have a democratic president in office. We've been blue since waaay back when.
We just elected a red governor. Maybe we're sick of our governors going to jail (red politicians are too rich to go to jail) or what but only 40% of people voted and so a republican was elected.
It could happen for a presidential campaign, too.
Although, the candidates pretty much focus on swing states as a general rule, but you can't tunnel vision the battleground states lest you take for granted the votes in another state and lose them.

The system is even worse for parliamentary elections.

If you have 3 parties, you can get 100% of the representation with 34% of the votes
If you have 4 parties, you can get 100% of the representation with 26% of the votes

etc.

No way in hell that the Democrats and Republicans would get 100% of the representation combined if seats were given out proportionally and voting on third parties isn't about as meaningful as laying a turd in the voting bin.

American presidential candidacy is something of an endless running joke to us other nations, particularly now that you're electing celebrities to office.

I have high hopes that you'll get the president you deserve.

I can't believe Sanders got shouted off of his own stage.

He was literally cucked by his own audience. How does he expect to survive against Putin or Thatcher when he folds like a deck of cards against some random bitch?

This is just hilarious.

I'm told Hillary merc'ed him, and that the whole thing was setup by one of her campaign contributors who also happens to be the head of the #blacklivesmatter movement.

Don't know if there's any actual truth to that.

Nobody has any leg to stand on to cast shade on anyone else when it comes to political bullshit these days. The EU is a fucking bust. Russia is run by the mafia. The UK is just as retarded and mismanaged as the US. Everyone everywhere is just a different flavor of fucked right now.

Please by all means brag about how the way you're getting fucked in the ass is so much better than how someone else is getting fucked in the ass.

And in all this, the randomly chosen captain for an hour of a 2d spessmens station is STILL more likely to be a competent leader than all of these.

Certainly. But the United States was created on the Republican ideal of a hierarchy of representatives with one representative from each area (Each city ward gets a city councilor, each state senatorial district gets a state senator, each state house of representatives district gets a representative, each state federal district gets a House of Rep, each state gets two senators chosen by the state legislature [but that got changed to popular vote]). This worked well when there might be only 1,000 people per county and everyone knew everyone and everyone crowded into the town hall to discuss their issues and shoot each other ('Murica) but kind of falls apart what with the whole 320 million people thing.

While changing the Federal government is out of the question (Not because it's perfect but because no one would dare let you unless the Masons resurrect Washington or something) it would certainly be possible to alter a state's laws or just cut a chunk off of a current state to make a new one.

So, how would you fix First Past the Post? Benevolent dictators and monarchists need not apply.

Representative party system with a cabinet and much less focus on the one guy in charge of it all(President), and more focus on everyone's parties getting in on the legislating.
Trying to pick just ONE guy to represent 300+ million people is insanity, and yet somehow americans think it works

trump is trolling. he is a human shitpost. his entire existence in the campaign is to troll and draw attention to himself. people who don't see this are the second-biggest morons in the country

the biggest morons in the country are the ones who do shit like A) claim trump's trolling is unprecedented in american history or B) claim that a candidate like bernie sanders has ever won an election (remember President Bryan? How about President Debs? Man, I remember those presidents. Total landslides in the vote.)

Trump is a meme candidate but all the other repubs besides Carson are shit. Rand is a spineless puppy and Bush is even more retarded than his brother. Rubio wouldn't be bad but muh no abortion for rape.

Honestly Trump is btfo all competition because he's similar to Reagan, even if he is a RINO. I'd vote for Trump as present and Carson for VP. Trump won't put up with degeneracy and Carson is intelligent as fuck.

historically, they do, it's just that they never actually get around to anything close to the platform they campaigned on because it's never that simple.

see: syriza campaigning on a platform of greece leaving the eurozone to 'ok we won't leave but we don't like the euro' to just giving up and bending over for the troika like 'ok we'll pay debnts be gentle'

As shit? They're pure shit this time. The major contenders are Bush 3: The shitty straight-to-video sequel, Fringe Libertarian, Mr. Tea Party, and Trump. There is no conceivable scenario in which they win. It's Hillary vs Sanders for the presidency.
