hurricane patricia, aka mexico gonna get rekt

so the strongest hurricane ever recorded is on it's way to mexico, people talking 200mph winds and up to 39 ft waves.

how bad do you think the damage will be? how do you think america will respond? how long will it take them to rebuild?

yeah, im in central 'murica, though in tornado alley so there's that i guess

still had a katrina take my grandpa though, so that sucks. since my dad is with law enforcement we were able to get through the police blockade to see the devastation around the coast where my grandpa lived. i doubt i'll ever forget that, it was...i dont even have the words for it. terrifying, i guess. and this was even a solid month or two AFTER the initial touchdown.

I'm not worried here.

If it rides far enough up the east coast I'll be worried about my proper home, '06 was fucking nasty and I can imagine the same shit happening again.

First time riding one of those rubber boats though.

North and South Americas will probably send some aid over, probably a few Euro countries as well. Immigration from Mexico might go up a bit in nearby countries, will probably make certain groups angry.

Probably won't take too long, I wonder if the local cartels might help in any rebuild effort.

Mexico will be fine, I'm not too worried about Mexico.

update: seems to have been the hurricane equivalent of a wet fart now that it's made landfall, 35 mph winds. im sure /pol/ is pretty broken up about it, ill have to go check out the butthurt later
