In which fantasy world do you live? Bernie is dead and buried at this point. Still, I'm glad to hear that Cruz dropped out, though I have no idea why Kasich is still in the race or what he's hoping for. Still, it's pretty obvious that Trump is getting the nomination uncontested, and once that is done, he must fight Hillary.

As a European I'm worried about his stance over Nato allies and his promise of a Nato meeting to rediscuss american involvement in europe. I understand that Americans are pissed about having to pay for our defense but this thing coupled with his fondness of Putin makes me afraid that he's going to hand europe over to Russia. He has to get through congress and the senate. You think they're going to approve EVERYTHING he does? No. What he can do is push for change and get support from the people, and that's what we need right now. 4-8 years of Clinton (Obama) policy is going to fuck this country even harder.

I love hearing people who've never voted for anything complain that the system doesn't work and that they've given up on it.

I'm not saying that applies to anyone specifically in this thread, I've had that experience IRL when talking with youngsters coming up on their first opportunity to vote, and in past elections.

Hey, if you vote, what happens is your fault - either you voted for it, or you fucked up stopping it, but you're responsible one way or the other.

The system is set up in a way that punishes voting anyway. I could have voted for anyone in any realistic circumstance and the difference I made was 0 because the same person would win the state no matter what.

If they wanted it to really matter, we wouldn't be using first past the post. The worst part is that the whole system is actually set up to be proportional and work correctly, it's just that basically every state does FPTP for no particular reason.
