That's one I would've thought to ask for also. Thanks.
MIDI files can be used to remotely control most synthesizers if you have the hardware to connect it all to your computer. Which means I can load up MIDI files in things like MIDI-OX and send pre-recorded jams to my various keys, which frees up my hands to tweak knobs and shit while they play. It's fun.

get a music editing program that can do midi sequencing, I use anvil studio. find out the bpm of the song, break it down into instrumental parts, go to town. obviously it helps if you have music theory knowledge and/or are good at playing stuff by ear

The fun part is when you then feed that MIDI track back into a DAW and replace all the instruments with sounds of two gay dudes wrestling, or sound clips of whatever shit you want. Congrats you're one of those youtubers now.
