You know, I can make some really dumb calls in hindsight but at least I try to stay good intentioned in the end. I don't think Justice can say the same in this situation which makes me sad.

No doubt the easiest part about this situation would be deadminning thunder (for me it's the fact that they taunt the player for having low hours). But what about the other two admins? This will probably be the reason the complaint will take a while to process.

I've posted something in the ideas thread about potentially removing all antags/threats and everything else which can remove the enjoyment from people on low pop servers. This way we can ensure metacomming admins and favourite players can continue their greenshifts without pesky antagonists with their wacky RNG from being able to damage/hurt anyone and anything.
I've even gone so far to suggest a system which auto-bans or auto-notes anyone who rolls antagonist.

iain0 stated they really weren't aware of the situation, which is understandable because I usually am mapping with the game in the background so it's easy to miss stuff unless an ahelp crops up.

Gwyn was the other admin actually involved and from what I'm seeing they just went along with it, but that's a case of severe negligence.

Also, since I like being devil's advocate, since the tot x4d holodeck the entire gamestate was lost, all healthpoints, mana, and active minion stats were gone. That was the problem with giving them the fluoride stare and going back to game.

2) rule 10, just fix it and go back to your game instead of spawning your gamer gear, killing them, and mocking them for it
there's no "Devil advocate" position here, abusing your admin perms isn't a reasonable response to a traitor acting as an antagonist (like they're supposed to do)

Not to piss on the parade, but it doesn't take a saint to apologise when the evidence of their wrongdoing is already overwhelming. I'm sure Justice regrets this incident, but are they regretting the incident or the consequences to themselves?
Character is pretty immutable, and what i've seen here isn't a personality i want having power over me. Sure, Justice probably won't do anything like this again, but how do we know that this attitude won't affect everything else they do as an admin? In the moment, they showed zero ability to consider the perspective of anyone else, but rather took very obvious pleasure in lording their admin powers over the player. They didn't make a mistake. They used admin tools to bully some poor dude for having the audacity to violate their super special metabuddy get-together, and then laughed about it until it came back to bite them in the ass.

This really shouldn't end with the apology. An apology means nothing.
It's a pretty big fuck up regardless of the intentions of the player and the admin should at the very least get a talking to and some additional training, if they remain an admin at all.

Even though other admins werent directly involved, they should also be reminded to stand up to other admins when they are about to or are doing clear abuse. It doesnt sit right with me that this admin only apologized after being called out with overwhelming evidence (along with a peanut thread applying additional pressure), when they and other admins involved wouldnt have cared about the blatant abuse if the player didnt make a report. Although this problem solves itself with the report being made (in the case of the abusing admin), the other two admins still shouldnt be left off the hook for being passive spectators to abuse.

Headmins will either say "accepted and we gave them a stern talking to

" while letting the closed thread collect dust and effectively fizzle out if admin doesnt do anything crazy for a while, or they will demote / deadmin for however long they feel is right for the abuse. In the situation itself whatever is picked isnt the biggest deal, as the main point was to bring news of admin abuse to the community. However, it will send a clear message on where headmins stand when it actually comes to taking action against flagrant violation of admin policy.
