Most peanuts do. And honestly, sometimes you do get some events turned around after the fact. Maybe it would have done Gupta some good to go check the logs to make sure when he made his warnings. But honestly, it is a mistake anyone could make.

Yeah, I feel like this is a fair middle ground and the headmin did a good job explaining the reasonings why they are viewing it the way they are. As for Gupta incorrectly remembering warning the detective before gibbing him, I think it’s safe to assume a genuine misremembering instead of any sort of malice or intentional misdirection, it happens.
