Bottom post of the previous page:

its that time of the year again

who will win

who will ignore my candidate debates

who will get the host vote

you decide

(if you wish its also a good idea to post your predictions and ideal lineups below)

(you could also reflect on how you felt this term was in relation to past terms, do you want more terms like it?)

sincerely,
bobbah "bee" brown

It's always epic how those who are the first to claim that anyone who has a problem with them is just oversensitive are also the first to drop slurs on a dime as well as drop brain dead political takes like "antifa are terrorists who started a race war and execute people in the streets."

A man was murdered this weekend and cities have been burning for months.

I've seen it happen in multiple communities. It starts with outspoken people. Then, once they run out of easy targets, they still need to justify their position so they start going after people who didnt cheer them on hard enough when they were doing the first purge. Always ends up in a purity spiral where whoever didn't clap hard enough like a trained seal is the next on the chopping block. Eventually you end up with a community of feckless sadbrain leeches who have driven out anyone who doesnt exist in a constant state of panic and anxiety, and they spend the rest of their days alternating between posting microwaved-six-times takes, picking fights with whoever didnt laugh hard enough at "people who disagree with me are stupid", and starting gofundmes and demanding everyone donate because they're AT RISK, DONT YOU CARE ABOUT THE LESS FORTUNATE

I think the bigotry issue is the most important one for this election, so I've compiled a quick reference list of candidates thoughts on this matter.
  • Stickymayhem - strongly in favour of banning slurs
Coconutwarrior97 - mildly against banning slurs
    FatalX1 - neutral
    RiskySikh - against banning slurs
    Naloac - against banning slurs
Memedokter - in favour of banning slurs
iamgoofball - strongly in favour of banning slurs
actionninja - in favour of banning slurs
raveBradbury - I've been unable to find any data

I prefer the custom system, but DnD tends to be more fun mechanically speaking. Our custom system just lets us do a bunch of "rule of cool" shit thats really fun and can be pretty hilarious.
My favorite setting so far was one of my friend's settings where we had abilities called Exalts.
I could change states of matter, which ended in me grabbing a guard's helmet turning it into a liquid and causing him to suffocate on molten metal before he could scream and alert the fort we were infiltrating. That was pretty metal.
Ive played as GM alot of times, I enjoy it because you have to be prepared for all kinds of shit. I get super excited when my players become big brain (or sometimes small brain) and do something I wasnt expecting.
I tend to like playing nimble characters, but my favorite thing is to use the environment to fight. I kicked a water hag into a giant pot of boiling stew and my friend used hold person to keep her head down in the boiling stew.
>environmental fighting
>nimble characters

If you aren't a barbarian why even exist. Grappling two goblins and bashing them together like cymbals is the only reason to play D&D
all barbarians can do in 5e is choosing between hitting people or hitting people harder

that's one of the main issues I got with 5e. Its combat is too fucking simple, specially for STR classes. Play 4e instead you fucking dingus.

Whats ironic is the two issues are seperate

Banning slurs != banning bigotry.

How each candidate feels about banning slurs is irrelevant because I've vetoed every attempt to ban slurs and told the headmins they must instead ban bigotry. Treat the cause, not the symptom.

4e is fun but it's more of a tactics game than an rpg. I play D&D for wacky hijinks and 5e is a less constrained system for doing that. I have more fun played 5e than 4e but I'd kill myself if I ever had to run 4e again and I love running 5e. The combat is simple kind of how ss13 combat is simple. It's mechanically not too complex because there's a lot of variety in options and you're adding that roleplaying layer to make it fun and fluffy.

If I want to feel like im playing 4e I'll play divinity 2 or something for more nuanced interesting tactics combat anyway
