I am honestly split on this. Krokodil is doing a harmless gimmick not annoying anyone and lenald is just grieving him for no reason
On the other hand lenald is allowed to do that
I think I should run HoS and arrest lenald for rushing a high security area round start. Opinions?

Krokodil and lenald should have a toolboxing competition BUT
the admins are allowed place bets and they can rig the match by doing things like changing brute mod or giving one of them chems or something and their goal is to get their toolboxer to win but be discreet enough to where the other toolboxer cant tell what they did to help them.

nothing about rushing the vault for gamer gear every round is or should be protected. you get stung doing it and not being interested to play outside of being able to do it. it's persistent, lame, and involves messing with the vault (source of several antag targets) preemptively and then leaving the round when you can't after otherwise failing to roll antag.
it's not a game you're playing with admins here. it's a game you're making lamer for other players and then showing no interest in playing with them when you can't do that.
a year expiration is nice and will hopefully pass uneventfully for them

Everybody involved is being a fuckass.
Admins had no way of knowing the player felt metagrunged
The player was likely jumping to that conclusion too quickly.
But
Each of the two suicides was reasonable. It was reasonable to think their was no point continuing the round during the hos arrest. It was reasonable to want to exit the round because they though they were being targeted by a bully.
The player not liking the implication otherwise was reasonable.
Everybody in this thread suggesting otherwise is a fuck ass.
Everybody harping on the player for defending the suicide point is being a bully.
I want admins to be very careful how much they read into players suiciding or ghosting. This game has given me social anxiety before that I had to ghost. This game has triggered my anger management issues before requiring an immediate disengage. We want players to ghost when shit gets to be too much.
Casting that in the light of them being a sore loser is dangerous.

The suicide/ghosting focus of this peanut/ban still feels a bit weird, the issue is them just rushing the vault every shift for the drip and makarov. This is like when the c-plot becomes the a-plot.

Being arrested and ghosting/suicide usually isnt dodging rp its dodging those shitty grudge match moments where you have someone in a cod lobby t-bagging your corpse while your camera is still stuck to your body.
And I dont think admins should be trying to purposefully engineer a condition to find the circumstances in which a player no longer finds a round fun enough and wants to exit, there are less harmful and intrusive ways to observe someone's behavior even if you have to do it silently as anything you do end up doing can destroy the trust that the player has for the administration.
Even giving a traitor a special objective to quickly loot the vault of its contents would have been more flavorful and less damning than completely oocly deleting items from the game.

I can say that I find it a completely reasonable opinion that when they thought they were being metagrudged by an adminfriend they should be able to leave the game. There are situations I probably should have expelled my ghost from my body recently too, like that recent eyeball torture debacle.
However, on what grounds do you defend the hos arrest one? Per the logs, the Captain did not decide to execute him prior to him ghosting, and the HoS most assuredly did NOT torture or grief him, despite the appealant's repeated claims otherwise. His fate was not set in stone, and he put in ZERO effort to defend himself to the Captain. In addition, his logs do not come across at ALL like someone suffering from some sort of anxiety attack or being put in an uncomfortable RP situation, they entirely look like someone frustrated their gimmick got ruined.

You ghost as soon sec arrests you for breaking into eva
Unused and free mats are not a reason to break into eva

Yes they are because a round only lasts 30 minutes and the station not having metal and glass for the first 10 minutes before miners get back from their first trip is a third of the round where i cant do anything
Its not even a gimmick its a necessary part of the gameplay loop for any job that is reliant on matt usage.

why do people even bother arguing that a round only lasts 30 minutes when we record stats about how long rounds last
Sybil can get some short ones but looking at the most recent chart the average is still like 95 minutes

Because every round I play doesnt last 95 minutes its always shuttle red alert call pre 40, i wouldnt doubt the low pop rounds are kicking up the avg
also did they finally fix the fact that the timer in a round starts counting before the round actually start because usually a round starts around 3-4 minutes in which can already take 5-10% of a round timer, does it continue counting after shuttle docks at centcomm?
Another disconnect is I don't wholeheartedly count the 2 or 3 minutes after the shuttle launches depending on the context of the arguement, most of the content is on the station itself, as soon as the shuttle docks and then launches in most cases all of that content and progress becomes halted and is irrelevant, the timer ends and everything that is going to happen will happen right then and there which is about another 3%-4% ish of 90 minutes
For example , if content was gated behind a certain time frame to get, it wouldnt be much use to you if you just got it as shuttle docked and it was something thats not useful on shuttle.
Take engie borgs for example, they do not get the ability to build machines until very late into the round, machines are not as important on shuttles, atmos and the actual structure of the shuttles are important. But if the round is still going you have so many opportunities to build so many things the game opens up to you.
