To be absolutely clear, I don't agree with the guy who got banned, but I stand up for his right to state his genuine opinion, as dumb as it might be. It doesn't seem like that (being a genuine opinion) was the case, however.

whether tg allowed it or not doesnt particularly matter because not policing that on your discord server opens you up to your server being banned and/or members being banned. The rule would exist even if every headmin believed the same as you did.

He should get blacklisted really. He isn't welcome here.

Online communities aren't democracies. This isn't exclusive to TG. Discord has it's own ToS, and violating those gets can get a server removed. Every social media has ToS that can be whatever their policy team chooses it to be.

Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom of consequence.

1) mass report so they have to or their wages get cut

So the server doesn't have any threat because you have to get attention of discord furries to stop their erp sessions and check out the trouble. And servers don't get flat out deleted like that, wtf?

Also to clear up some confusion: i'm not a troll. I wasn't saying it with intention of trolling. I said some offensive stuff and I fully take the blame and apologize for it (some people don't read the appeal fully for some reason). One thing I don't agree with is that a permanent ban is too harsh. If it was a week or a month even, I wouldn't care and would just wait it out, after all bans aren't for restricting someone from using the server (temporary ones) but for someone to acknowledge their mistake and learn from it.

the difference is the admin team isnt just a car or a lawn, they are real people who volunteer to keep the servers from turning into NRP chaos. As much as I think Vektar trolls and doesnt even play the game and this and that, i know that over half of his unironic deniers wouldnt get off their ass (metaphorically) to handle a ticket or restart the server in the middle of the night or whatever inconvenient time it would be for them.

Its fun to praise quality admin-work in peanut threads, even if its as small as discord dunking on an antisemite (ironic or not)
