laser scalpel
Image

As you can plainly see in this image, laser scalpels are 100% equipment science staffers(such as Geneticists, who used to be med-sci and are now just sci) can access via their departmental lathe.
flash protection
Image
As you can plainly see in this image, three separate types of flash protection are available to all science staff via their departmental lathe.
hulk
They're a Geneticist. They're the one person on the station who's technically allowed to have Hulk because it's their job.
security related equipment
According to the ban log;
after being given gear by secrity
This claims that Security gave the gear to Yulice willingly and with consent. I do not see any logs of Security requesting the gear back. Why does this ban imply they needed to return the gear, given the next paragraph?
Additionally, this round featured:
1. A Revolution(which Yulice was part of)
2. A Blob
3. A Xenomorph Infestation
4. Nuke Ops via the Starfury Traitor objective.
This is the sort of round where Security handing out gear to trustworthy folks is entirely normal and expected behavior, and crewmembers being prepped for self defense is entirely reasonable.
after OFFERING to help hunt the xenomoprh queen
This implies that it is not allowed for crewmembers to fight the xenomorphs under the Stay In Your Lane rules. This is a serious precedent you're setting here and I don't think you've considered the full ramifications of this on the game given the sheer strength of Xenomorphs. Xenomorphs are 100% designed around the entire crew throwing down, not just Security. Xenomorphs have absolutely zero restrictions on holding back, as per the murderbone chart from Roleplay Rules.
Image

The Xenomorph ruleset is a round-ending ruleset in everything but the ability to set the nuke off, often requiring admins to manually end the round or send in ghosts as ERT members to fight the xenomorphs because of how powerful they are. It is entirely unreasonable to punish a Geneticist for fighting xenomorphs given the game is designed around the entire crew throwing down with the xenomorphs.

Additional Notes:
Image
Seemingly unprompted random smites being applied to the banned player here. Randomly smiting players, even with joke smites, is unprofessional as shit. This isn't an event, this is complaint-able behavior.

Image
This user also got randomly smited with a lightning bolt as well that shift too.

this is why I dont want every server to become MRP

You do your job for 1-how ever long the station lasts, and if it goes to shit. Your supposed to turn sideways and let it happen

shit ban. shit server.

Im gonna have to agree, this is a bit dumb. Xenomorphs absolutely call for this kind of threat, and the constant shit during this round only emphasizes this point. 0/10 ban. Petunia has had 3 hulk injectors as a geneticist in a entirely calm round and no bonk there.

I despise Yulice and I still think this ban is kind of bullshit and they shouldn't have been bananiumed for this. If you want to ban Yulice for something ban them for self-seccing regardless of their department lmfao. There are rounds that I've seen them looking 1:1 like a secoff and then I shift click them

> Geneticist

I think they need to chill the fuck out with the "bootknife" thing, Read: they literally always have a concealed weapon in their boots, always, one day a few months ago I saw yulice dead and took their shoes just to check their boots, fucking combat knife, knew it. Their nickname to me is "bootknife" The laser scalpel is a stand-in for their beloved combat knife.

Once upon a time, when Heretic was still a thing on Manuel, I was a heretic clown and Yulice started whalloping my ass for being in cargo, I gave them the funny hand™ to try to make them stop but didn't follow up by attacking them at all.
Yulice then proceeded to bootknife me to death, and drag my dead body to sec, where they berated sec about how to do their job for a considerable length of time, sec basically shrugged and eventually took me inside and I was wordlessly shuttlegibbed without so much as a chance to share my side of the story. That's wasn't very MRP of you m8. Looking back I probably should've considered ahelping that situation but it's far in the past now.

TL;DR Banning them for this thing in particular is silly but they do some crungo stuff in general. I speak to Yulice in a muted tone and briefly as possible. They pissed in my soup.

I'm far from Yulice's biggest supporter, but all jokes aside, I feel this ban is in pretty bad taste. I believe this reflects poorly on Vex's trialminship, and as a result, also slightly on Manuel as a server itself. Disappointing.

This just makes me more certain we have to mend the gap between Manuel and the rest of the community. My hope is would be that by making Manuel more congruent with the rest of TG, the (Remove X antagonist) group would be pushed back into the closet as they belong. Bonus effect of clamping down on bad actors on the lower RP servers

MRP should in fact mean that you care more about avoiding death than LRP, whether that means arming yourself to fight a threat or avoiding it

HRP means that + constrained skillset based on what you signed up as, at least as far as I'm concerned

Neither of those mean "Sit around and wait to die" and yet here we are??

Yulice is a pain in the ass but Vex goofed on this one. The reality is that Yulice should be clapped for being such a gAmEr, especially on MRP, but this wasn't the round to fire that shot on.

Goofball coming in with the attorney at space law routine is very funny.
