If you offer to assist someone as an assistant they will turn you down. I'm sure a few people, particularly on Manuel, would like to assist other people with their jobs from time to time. It would be a good way to learn things like toxins or atmospherics.

one time silkie was a rev leader so instead of killing her I(as captain) took her to mining and we just chilled there the rest of the shift
I was taking a trip back to the station to see if centcom could extract the both of us but unforunately the heads won

was still fun though
