Would be a huge felinid nerf. Being easily hatable is one of the only things they have going for them, making them even less unique.

I've also noticed when people play xenophobic characters it pretty much becomes their whole bit. Anything resembling rp begins and ends at "i hate lizards".
Aside from that they're either complete silence NRP shitters or just generally unpleasant to deal with. Obviously this doesn't apply to all xenophobic characters, but it happens more often than not.

People are just vocal about lizards because they're the other dominant species so we can all play rough. You don't see people actually bullying lizards in a way they wouldn't a human. From an OOC perspective, they fit the setting and vibe much more seamlessly than hamfisted catgirl anime waifus, all of whom have gaudy neon hair.

I do actually see a fair amount of lizard-bullying focused on their race in a way that is distinct from humans, but that's beside the point. Bullying players for playing a race you dislike OOC is less of a solution than pursuing external changes. I suppose the question to ask oneself is "to what degree is my opposition to felinids as a race legitimately motivated by writing consistency or motivated by the server culture (which is a thinly-veiled way of saying circlejerk) saying that's what I'm supposed to do?" I'm not accusing you of anything in either way; I can understand the universal consistency argument.

I still remember this old round maybe five years ago where the HoS and Captain were “”roleplaying”” space Ss officers, coralling lizardmen to the labor camp, removing their tails and forcing them to perma in labor camp because “liggers had no rights”. I remember being pissed that I was stuck in permacamp for a race choice and ahelped for law 1. I was told it was an IC issue.

So unless I’m missing something I’m pretty sure someone picking a fight with your cat OC isnt that problematic.

Edit: When in doubt, escalate to a kill over racism and start the forum fire of a century with that sweet appeal peanut.
