I think some yelled "HELP! [SURNAME/LOCATION!]" That's fine.
But you see people who have an extra 5-10 seconds still lazily droning "x bad y rude".
Kind of pathetic, really.

I do type relatively quickly, and I still get moments where if I'd said less words, I would've got the word out instead of just dying. Left click, left click, left click is faster than "Help maint bean bad", and it's a hell of a lot faster than "Help in medical maintenance I'm being killed by Bean Divanov"
Callouts are, ironically, an anti-murderbone feature, and it baffles me that people want to make them next to impossible. A callout can let people know that someone is running around murdering people, so that they can make sure to have some form of weaponry on-hand.

>how good are you at fighting? can you win? do you KNOW you can win? finish the fight and then call it out
>how good are you at fighting? are you going to lose? do you KNOW you are going to lose? if its in a relatively traveled area, call out the location in caps "LIBRARY" "MEDBAY" "DORMS"
>how good are you at fighting? are you going to lose? do you KNOW you are going to lose? if its NOT in a relatively traveled area, say a corner of the station or especially in maint, call out a NAME and location if you think you have the time IN CAPS "WILLIAM DORNAN MEDBAY MAINT" " DEAN ENGINEERING" "RICK HICK ARRIVALS"
>how good are you at escaping? remember to always carry SOME kind of slip or stun item, ie soap, some kid of water, lube, stun baton, etc escape and then yell out in CAPS the LOCATION NAME and WHAT THEY WERE EXACTLY DOING
no should ever be saying rogue, bad, sus, etc
it also depends on how much you actually care about dying

I have been following someone asking them over comms why they are killing people only for them to turn around and kill me as I, ask them over comms why they are killing me only to see them walk by everyone else.

Answer: re-enable GLORF code so if you get hit in the middle of typing something it gets out and interrupted by river city ransom shit

Wait what, this used to be a feature? I've been thinking about how awesome it would be if this was added for years.
Maybe I missed it because I always used the pop-up window ever since I started. I didn't want to type in text RPG commands everytime I wanted to speak.

I mean if we're being real I'd solve this problem by forcing suit sensors on by default and giving security the ability to immediately tell when and where somebody was under attack
But I have this view of SS13 being about antags vs security with the station being the supporting cast which conflicts with some inane shit about silicons being the third pillar or whatever
