HoPs have had nothing much to do since the AA change. Which was sort of good I guess but I miss having a line of people I could abuse into filling out paperwork. We need more bureaucracy for the HoP to do

security didn't always have maintenance and that was a good change to make maintenance more reliable for antagonists and less desirable for crew to use as a thoroughfare, but i don't see why you'd remove it from assistants who need it to be able to do anything that isn't greytiding or barRPing (lol)

pointless tedium tbh, why would you lock out two jobs whose gameplay often revolves around maintenance, from maintenance? i thought it was like a social experiment at first like when they switch someone's milk with glue or something to gauge reactions

like sec with no maint access? you gotta be insane. how are you going to look for cult? or engi/cargo tekkie baddie dips into maint and welp you're locked out now. essentially requires seccies to loot a full toolbelt and insuls roundstart, which is even more tedium and CBT. assistants will hack maint doors now sure, they will simply have to traverse maintenance significantly slower now. "just ask hop" isn't feasible on LRP where even if there is a hop the odds he's both 1) going to do his job and 2) going to do it for more than the first 5 min of the round, is slim to none. (inb4 "player issue". "player issues" still affect peoples enjoyment of the game and should be taken into consideration)
