I don’t think the chef instigated the conflict at all. Someone walked up demanding things and then started TK’ing shit in the kitchen when they didn’t get what they wanted. That switches the scientist to the instigator.

As per escalation rules the defender in a conflict can choose the terms of escalation. So the chef was allowed to escalate it to force and the forcefeeding was nonharmful after all. Then the scientist was allowed to respond in kind, I.e. getting hulk and fucking with the kitchen even more by teleporting everything away. After which point the chef was allowed to crit him since, he was a hulk that couldn’t be stunned and ruined the kitchen.

All of this is a clear IC issue I think, people should be allowed to get into these sorts of conflicts without someone getting banned because of them. The cherry on top is that the guy succumbed and then ahelped being killed.

How did the chef use CQC on them if they weren't breaking into his kitchen? Isnt it area-locked?

Last I remember, it works in the kitchen, diner, and bar. Unless it was changed since the last time I played Chef.

Scientist uses telekinesis to fuck with a chefs ingredients in their workplace , gets put to sleep a few times, comes back as a hulk to do it again, gets dehulked, succumbs and ahelps, admin somehow thinks escalation didn't occur. Seems like pretty obvious banbaiting

I made a comment pointing out the RD went hulk knowing the only way to stop them is to crit them. The RD then succumbed in crit to frame the chef for killing them in an ahelp but the post was deleted without explanation. Very cringe.

Similar precedents here are things like security using lethals on a hulk simply to be able to perform an arrest, or a bartender using lethals over beanbags against a hulk customer being unruly.

Imagine this: An admin makes a shitty ban, and after realizing that they got all their facts wrong and missing crucial, basic details (succumbing), they undo the ban completely and apologize for their mistake.

Nuts!
