Part of me lifting it was because I couldn't find any proof in the logs from that round that he had actually read anything in the book.

If he's a fuck-up, he'll do something stupid and get banned again. Not a huge deal IMO. Most people deserve a second chance.

Idk about yall but reading through these logs give me the impression the guy unknowingly dug his own grave by deciding to say random stuff at the wrong time. He cornered himself and then didn't know how to get out of it without it making him look like a compulsive liar.

I don't think he read the book. I don't think he knew the book had nsfw. When questioned about it by a moth, he said he read it because the title of the book was "Moth Rights", so he thought it was about that. When he was made aware the book had nsfw in it (but still didn't know it contained something like necrophilia) he had no better idea than say it was his way of flirting (to keep going whatever this IC line of reasoning was).

What sets red flags for me is the "minors" comment. Even if you're quoting something, don't ever fucking joke about that stuff.
