It's quite simple really. You suck, and are not entitled to ANYTHING!!!

i dunno if the guy is non-english or what, but he sounds like a kid trying to act innocent, also him saying "rule 4" is so fucking stupid, "solo antag can do whatever they want" if you follow all the rules then yeah, you cant fuckin erp if you're an antag, also i like how he posted 2 broken images and a locked google drive link, lmfao

My only issue is antags and content being designed around a "standard 90 minute round" This is not supported by the administration nor playerbase as a whole and the traitor that recalled alittle over half the "standard round time" is just a victim of the crossfire. They are expected to have more time to reach their final objective, the administration and anyone that calls the shuttle for literally any reason is suddenly their greatest enemy.



They should definitely redirect some of their anger towards the codebase, while policy is built around the code its mostly built around whats best for the community and if the majority of rounds are best ended pre 90 minutes then something is definitely fucking wrong with this failure of design when it comes to pushing content behind steeper time requirements.


The shuttle recaller is not a "piece of shit" they are the victim and the admin didnt do too much wrong either although I think admins should be more patient/friendly with antags that are trying to achieve artificially delayed content.



Before experisci and biddle traitors and heretics we didnt need an explicit ruling saying "dont recall shuttle too much as anteg lul" antags already knew to let the round end as a common fucking courtesy, its not a lack of courtesy that changed this it`s a drive to complete a goal that was artificially made near unobtainable in the shorter rounds.


Before anyone says "git gud" and just speedrun your objectives as traitor, that was explicitly seen as something you shouldnt be able to do, thats how some traitors managed to get final objectives quick enough and so the rate at which you could earn reputation was again artificially lowered / capped even more at one point (now the cap is lessened a lot at least but it still shows a major discrepancy between the playerbase and the codebase)

you're acting as if you know what had happened in that round, considering an admin took this much of an extreme over it, the station was likely completely destroyed/unoperational, or a vast majority of players were dead

there is never a problem with a traitor recalling if the station is still mostly intact/most people are alive, rarely will admins intervene unless it is a case as i described above

Youre acting (and failing to) as if you read everything I said, I clearly said that in most cases whats best for the community is a round that is shorter than 90 minutes and this is arguably one of those instances if an admin stepped in.

No but the difference between now and 2+ years ago is content that is locked behind longer rounds.

An actual encouragement / reward for having a long round as an antag, not someone personally wanting to murderbone longer but something that is in the actual code.


Look at romerol zombies for example now if you want to experience them (outside of getting lucky with abductor tech which is also harder to unlock quickly even if you get alien tools due to experisci throttling research point generation) you need to have a final objective.

Romerol zombies was something that traitors WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO DO BECAUSE IT WAS A UNIQUE WAY FOR THEM TO IMPACT THE ROUND, now its content locked behind final objective (or alientech + waiting for points/afk at console)

before it was simply locked behind either rolling the dice and getting lucky or finding another traitor, not an actual time requirement that made you WANT TO recall the shuttle.


Thats the problem, its shit that makes you WANT rounds to last longer but you cant when admins/other players do not want the round to last longer, its literally sticking a carrot in your face and telling you to take it but if you try to everyone else in the room will jump on you.

nothing that moocow12 said was contradicting. they were saying that the appealer shouldn't be mad at the administration for doing their duty to make sure rounds are not ass farts, but rather the codebase for time-locking content to 90 minutes. there is now tangible reason to recall the shuttle as a traitor- even if it means hurting the good of the round. the appealer is still a dick.

Yeah that’s frustrating. The only solution is to get lucky with the players or ask the admins for permission to recall (I’m pretty sure you can do that if you have a good reason). Traitor is more of a race now rather than a chance to make a gimmick now, and that’s the reason why I don’t play it as much.

Recalling in good faith for the round is good. But still my view is that we should all try to not recall for greentext/chance to murderbone/if the crew is already sick and tired with threats. Even if the round is short, people still want to EVAC when shit goes down. Recalling when the crew decides to go home/some weak reason is a different story, and depending if you have a great gimmick, I’m pretty sure you can ask for permission/do it if you think it’s ultimately better and unique for the round.

The point is that it's not that he wants rounds to be a 25 minute shitfest, it's that he wants the longer rounds to actually have something happen in them. He doesn't want 45 minutes of nothing happening, and then EVERYTHING is crammed into that last 25 minutes, he wants the Shit Happening to be distributed throughout the entire round.

He was talking about lack of content in the first 45 minutes due to much of it being pushed back to much later in the round, this has every implication of being on the topic of a sandbox game.
