Imagine making a popular softdrink out of this. Well, if you're wondering, the brazilians have you beat there as well:
This fruit carries a high dose of caffeine and is commonly used in energy drinks and pretty much all sorts of products where you need a little pump-up.
From Wikipedia:
"As a dietary supplement or herb, guaraná seed is an effective stimulant: it contains about twice the concentration of caffeine found in coffee beans (about 2–8% caffeine in guarana seeds, compared to about 1–3% for coffee beans). The additive has gained notoriety for being used in energy drinks. As with other plants producing caffeine, the high concentration of caffeine is a defensive toxin that repels herbivores from the berry and its seeds."
Who can say no to that?
Of course it is in fucking Brazil.

I never ate the fruits, I don't think they're fit for eating. You can get juice and soda made out of it, which are fucking delicious. Also tea, which has a fuckton of caffeine. It's like mix of orange and apple juice? The taste is unique, but this is the closest thing I can equate it to.

The indigenous myth of the origin of the fruit is pretty Fromsoft-core. Basically a couple asked the gods to have a child since they were having a hard time having children.
The main god of the pantheon would say yes, and a beautiful baby boy would be born. One of the gods would grow jealous however, and turned into a snake and killed the boy.
So one of the gods asked the parents to bury the eyes of the child into the soil, with the eyes becoming Guaraná.

With the mythological context Imaginos provided, this is one sick fruit. Having a glass of eyeball juice in the morning sounds a lot more enjoyable than a cup of coffee.

Hell yeah I love it in teas. Guarana kombucha is tasty.
