A hint on admin interactions.

Be nice to everyone. If you start an ahelp with "Fuck John Tider he killed me and my mother" is likely to get a less good response than "Yo, John Tider stunned me in maints by cargo and took my ID", or an even better "I slipped John Tider once and he's stunned me and lethaled me since"

The important thing I want to stress is emotions look bad in ahelps. take some time to calm down and write the best ahelp you can. I believe in you!

Most ahelps should have the following format:
<Bad thing I did> <Bad thing the other person did in response> <[optional] How I was punished by sec>

If you ask me "why did I die" and I tell you "it's a secret" it's because I'm not telling you which traitor killed you and if you start calling me mean names for not disclosing this information then I reserve the right to obliterate you

If you act like a baby someone might treat you like one.

You aren't entitled to anything, and we aren't entitled to you having a good attitude either. It doesn't excuse either side being jerks though.

You reap what you sow.

Being descriptive makes everyone's life easier, including YOURS.

I think players and admins can work on improving how they START an adminhelp. First message/reply can change the whole direction from being a friendly or hostile ticket

Whenever I talk to admins my goal is to have my a-help verb privileges revoked.

I literally have a note for the fact that I have a tendency to start my ahelps like a completely fucking stupid goblin

If your ahelp is a question about a game mechanic, don't just say "what does this do" I don't know what this does because it could be anything.

If you are having an issue with someone else's actions, just tell me what you're having an issue with. "Did you just see that???" No I'm probably fucking with View Variables, or tabbed out listening for ahelp pings.

I'm volunteering to help you guys out, you don't need to be shy, just be specific with what you want looked at or what you want to know.

I find it strange how admins handle me when I compare it to how they handle the most retarded fucked in the head cunts.

Should I just act even more fucking cooked in the skull? Will this produce a catch 22 and keep me in the army?

There really should be some sort of "Guide to writing ahelps" on the wiki. Some of the issues admins have with ahelps are just a result of the user not understanding how ahelps work.

The only current thing I could find was: https://tgstation13.org/wiki/Requesting_an_Admin
Your ahelp should include as much detail (including the full names of anyone involved) as possible. The more information we have, the faster we can get to resolving your problem.
This is serviceable, but in my opinion, it should be more detailed. Even giving a few example ahelps would be a big improvement.

I admin downstream and not here but every so often we get an ahelp which is just “why did that happen?” with literally no other context and it’s always s real head scratcher how they expect me to answer that

I suggest admins to take lessons from customer service phonelines.

The person issuing the ahelp is the one that wants something out of you. If they give you shit information or shit attitude, you have carte blanche to deal with it taking as looooong as you want.

Take lessons from the DMV. They're paid to do it. We're not.

Believe it or not we want to help players. That's why we volunteer.

Does that mean if an admin asks me 'Why did you do that?' i'm free to ignore them until the end of the round?

Of course. As a player you're not obligated to answer the admin's bwoink. It's treated as though you're disconnected, really. That is a really bad idea tho.

I literally K N O W I'll end up closing 90 percent of ahelps and then making liberal use of the lightning button
