Ban evading is positively based. It is not only the player subverting the authority, the admin, but also undermining an attack on his freedom.

Absolutely correct, reasonable and level-headed response by WineAllWine. I've seen this opinion elsewhere on the forums, not sure if it was also WineAllWine or someone else saying it.

Maybe its because players who ban evade tend to be shitters with a long repeated line of rule breaks. Also ban evading is pretty cowardly imho, own up to your mistakes and just appeal it.

If you evade and manage to somehow completely bypass every way we have to tell you're evading and are just a model citizen in every way, shape, and form, I don't care if you are evading.

The problem is that almost never happens because the respectable players who get banned usually just appeal it instead of evading.

Yeah actual evaders seem to not last even 10 hours before being found out.

That being said, we have no way of knowing how many evaders are successful and become reformed players.

Yeah, this isn't exactly what I'd call "comfortably resolved" from my end, but giving them another shot and seeing what happens can be informative. Paperwork was done. Most more hardcore evaders won't go through this effort either as rerolling is already just a way of life for em.
