I feel like sound cues in SS13 are actually fairly important if you want to stay alive. Music would distract from that

I used to till I started recording rounds.
I miss that.
Is there a way to separate music and ingame sounds while recording?

I'll normally have TV in the background, especially if I'm adminning; but almost always something I've seen before or something you don't need to pay attention to like an animal documentary

I have specific playlists for some of my statics. It helps to properly get into their mindset for RP.

Somehow this game soaks up all of my concentration, so I can't have anything else on while I'm playing. If I were to listen to music while playing then I'd only listen to tracks that fit the atmosphere of the game, such as the Snipperclips OST.

If you listen to music while playing, what do you do when an admin plays a song?

Stop my music if I like what's being played or it fits the situation well, stop theirs if I'd rather keep mine going.

My music always suits the situation because I am the perfect admin

I listen to a mix of random sounds from ss13 to keep me on edge. Doors opening, guns firing, frandom shove noises. It's fun!

I require focus on the game at all times, no music only the sound of footsteps and metal clanking from hitting people into walls

Depends on the situation. If I'm in the cargo bay moving stuff or cleaning floors as a janitor, then yes. If the station is going to hell or the admin is playing appropriate music, then no.

If you feel like going through the effort you can set up a Virtual Audio Cable, lets you separate out your audio into separate tracks which you can then disable or modify at a whim in your editing software.
For example - 1 track for a microphone, 1 track for gameplay, and 1 track for background things (browser windows, discord, etc).

Plenty of tutorials on youtube explaining how, it's a little complex but when it's done you can pretty much ignore it entirely.

Does this export more than one audio track though? Looks interesting regardless.

I started smoking weed every day about 2 years ago and maybe a few months into that I bought a spotify subscription and I'm pretty sure it allowed me to develop a soul.

Yes I love music. High intensity aggressive music too for SS13 crime. Sometimes I just set the song for the vibe. If a fight is coming I'll put on something nastier or flashier just to get into it.

I've heard some form of Bad Apple played probably 30-50 times over the last two weeks by the admins. Even more weeb shit. Nothing else but anime and weeb shit.

Image

Some of the player requested music has been pretty good though (in the rare occasion that an admin actually plays player music)
