Someone's gonna have to nominate someone.

I guess Riggle?

I believe Misdoubtful needs to nominate a Chancellor and then we vote on whether to accept Misdoubtful and their Chancellor?

I'm sure the super gamer meta choice is to just refuse all nominations until we get to the final one available. Considering we are playing over the format of an internet forum, I have zero interest in dragging this game out several months in trying to do this.

Nox what in the world would be the advantage of refusing all nominations? Seeing what everyone's picks are?

I support Wine as chancellor picking the policys to give Misdoubtful the the ability to enact a policy of their choice. (That's how this works right?)

So right now we have no information but the fascists do. We get three votes to choose a government, so if we reject this nomination and the next one we can implement the third without consequences. I guess the argument is partially that we gain a little information by seeing who votes for who (which doesn't amount to much honestly considering liberals will just pick at random and fascists will probably try to do the same) and partially that by forcing us to go with the third vote we are depriving everyone of options (which benefit the side with more information, meaning the fascists) as we could theoretically choose to reject this vote and go with the second one. Forcing the third government every game means fascists don't have room to try to influence the early votes. It's a strategy that only really works when everyone is backing it and it is applied all the time.

So, let’s get some explanations. For those unaware, Misdoubtful drew 3 policies, discarded 1, and gave the other 2 to Wineal. Wineal then discarded 1 and enacted the other. So, some possibilities.

3 fascist cards were drawn, and we were forced to implement a fascist policy. (No assumptions of guilt)

2 fascist cards were drawn. Misdoubtful could have discarded the liberal policy and forced Wineal to enact a fascist policy, or Wineal could have received a fascist and liberal policy and enacted the fascist one. (One or both voters are fascist)

1 fascist card was drawn. Misdoubtful would have had to discard a liberal policy and Wineal would have chosen to enact the fascist one despite having liberal as a choice. (Wineal is fascist and Misdoubtful is either fascist or playing mind games to uncover info)

Some game theory:
I was given 2 fascist policies but this gives you no new information. There is no situation in which I should claim otherwise.

Misdoubtful can either:
Claim they got 3 fascist cards. This (almost) clears me and adds a little bit of suspicion to themselves. (the exception here is if we're both fascist. This would be unusual but could be quite a clever play if I were Hitler)
Claim they got 2 fascists and a liberal and discarded the liberal. There is no reason to do this.
Claim they got 2 fascists and a liberal and discarded the fascist. This guarantees that one of the two of us is a fascist.

I got 3 fascist cards, unfortunately.

With that being played I checked NoxVS' allegiance.

NoxVS is a liberal.

What? I feel like we should nominate someone completely uninvolved from the previous situation since the chance of one of the two of them being a facist seems high. Why would we go back to the restaurant that just gave us food poisoning.

Because if we take Hugs at face value and agree that Nox is confirmed as a Liberal, then they're the only logical choice since we know we can trust them. If we nominate anyone else, it's entirely possible they are a fascist.

We can do that, it's not going to end the game or anything, but it's a risky play.

Agreed. I'm personally worried there's some scheme of some kind going on, to the point where I wouldn't even want it until we've at least had one refused vote just to put some distance between us and any potential interference.

I don't think voting no is a good idea. Out of 4 currently involved we can't all be fascists. Let's continue working with what we have!

I think we were supposed to be doing the votes in secret.

Clearly we're playing our own forums version instead and that's fine.

I vote no because I don't believe the stories of the original two.

In the actual game everyone votes and then turns over their cards at the same time. Which would translate to: everyone tells Timonk then they announce everything. I don't remember if its a period of discussion though

And you went through a lot of effort just to not end up reading the first post.

To explain: this is a players club activity. Using an external page would beat the spirit of it.

Doesn't look like it would've mattered given the vote spread.

Yep. Trexter nominates a chancellor and if we don't go with it we can go with Nabski's choice before we are forced to implement a random policy.

There are no good choices IMO, we have nothing to go off of. Nox would have been good since we could "test" them, but others didn't agree with me
