I can't really go more in-depth than what's been posted in their ban reason, but there's significant evidence of a coordinated attempt to harass admins, which is what led to this blacklisting.LEDDDriver wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 6:01 pm I suspect there is some secret admin backstory here that we won't be getting.
thank god I dont miss sinful posts
MSO has already given more info in tg-general discordVekter wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 6:16 pmI can't really go more in-depth than what's been posted in their ban reason, but there's significant evidence of a coordinated attempt to harass admins, which is what led to this blacklisting.LEDDDriver wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 6:01 pm I suspect there is some secret admin backstory here that we won't be getting.
My entirely conjectured (I didn't ask and I don't wanna know but still) take is that it was making enough of the newer admins on the recent appeals disencouraged to continue adminning, and that caused the concern that future recruits could suffer the same.Not-Dorsidarf wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 6:41 pm i cant imagine what they could have settled on to cause admin burnout faster than their mere presence, but good riddance to co-ordinated harassment!
Skill issue.
While they certainly were something I bet a lot of people will not agree with you that they were "hallmarks" lolImitates-The-Lizards wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:05 pm That's....very specific ban reasoning. So... Unless this is a case of something being taken wildly out of context or massively overblown... I mean it's from MSO personally, so I'm gonna guess this happened.
That sucks. Axle and Pepper were both hallmarks of the community.
I can't post the evidence but it exists and I've seen it. I'm one of MSO's most outspoken critics; if I'm defending him on this, you should know it's the right move.Imitates-The-Lizards wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:05 pm That's....very specific ban reasoning. or.. you could just dislike the people in question more than mso? this doesn't really add anything to the conversationVekter wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:09 pmI can't post the evidence but it exists and I've seen it. They were at best very controversial and distinctive, yes, but not people I would necessarily call "hallmarks." Hell, I'd be hesitant to call anyone a "hallmark" in this community.kinnebian wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:26 pmthey were popular and as active as you can be in the communityBonChoi wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:06 pmWhile they certainly were something I bet a lot of people will not agree with you that they were "hallmarks" lolImitates-The-Lizards wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:05 pm That's....very specific ban reasoning. I'd argue Striders is the hallmark for Terry. They are justice, chaos and fun.BonChoi wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:27 pmThey were at best very controversial and distinctive, yes, but not people I would necessarily call "hallmarks." i would argue they are definitely hallmarks of the current lrp community, in both the good and bad waysBonChoi wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:27 pmThey were at best very controversial and distinctive, yes, but not people I would necessarily call "hallmarks." If these are the players that fellow LRP players still wish to idolize, as you normally would with "hallmarks," my only hope is that they too can soon join them outside of this community. Targeted harassment of any group is wrong, and what these two did is deplorable on many levels.kinnebian wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:29 pmi would argue they are definitely hallmarks of the current lrp community, in both the good and bad waysBonChoi wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:27 pmThey were at best very controversial and distinctive, yes, but not people I would necessarily call "hallmarks." I think weve misunderstood each other? I was saying that sinful and pepper, EXCLUDING THIS; were very much representative of the LRP community and hallmarks of it, in both the good and bad waysBonChoi wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:38 pmIf these are the players that fellow LRP players still wish to idolize, as you normally would with "hallmarks," my only hope is that they too can soon join them outside of this community. honestly, i find it shocking that people can get this hopelessly addicted to this game, i hope theyre able to look back on this behaviour in years and cringe at how awful and embarassing it isdendydoom wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:43 pm when i would just talk to them as people they were fine and we would crack jokes and have a good time and they were funny and enjoyable to talk to. i had nothing personal against them. but anything administrative with them was a real headache. you just have to look at me and sinful's interactions before his player club ban in any peanut about any admin action to see this.
i feel nothing from this. not joy or sadness. people doing what they did in their discord should be shown the door. it's poison to our community. that's the cold hard truth of it. life goes on.
yeah. i wish they just stuck to being chill players who didn't take all the doom and gloom on their own shoulders. it was obsessive.kinnebian wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:46 pmhonestly, i find it shocking that people can get this hopelessly addicted to this game, i hope theyre able to look back on this behaviour in years and cringe at how awful and embarassing it isdendydoom wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 7:43 pm when i would just talk to them as people they were fine and we would crack jokes and have a good time and they were funny and enjoyable to talk to. i had nothing personal against them. but anything administrative with them was a real headache. you just have to look at me and sinful's interactions before his player club ban in any peanut about any admin action to see this.

COST OF CHASING TIDERS: TIME, EFFORT, POSSIBLE LOSS OF POSSESSIONS (IF YOU'RE A NOOB LIKE SEAL)
GAIN OF CHASING TIDERS: ???
COST OF CHASING ANTAGONISTS: YOU MIGHT DIE
GAIN OF CHASING ANTAGONISTS: THE SURVIVAL OF THE STATION AND ITS CREW, GAMERGEAR, EPIC BATTLES
Only COWARDS focus on tiders because they're AFRAID of engaging ACTUAL threats.
