I can finally tide the spare every round again
As a captain main, my barracks shall once again return to being a TDM roundstart, just like the good old times.

I like the change, its closer to actually encouragement of roleplay instead of whatever the hell it was trying to do before. We have a bad habit of playing coy with our policy.

Some of my most interesting rounds have been when the other party wasn't playing to win 100%.
That said, whether any given round is played competitively or relaxed should be up to the players playing, and not the admins. The players drive the culture.

to be clear a lot of the text was just rewritten and moved elsewhere, i dont think theres a significant change in how the rules are going to be enforced in those cases

Pretty much this. I asked a few times under different circumstances and Timber's elaborating of dead rule 12 is still the precedent of rule 3 we're reinforcing.

Jokes on you before we added it back it was called "Old Rule 3"

It was a part of rule 3 that was dropped off during some other rules revision during our endless churn cycle.

Now it's come full-circle.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
