What are admins/players thoughts on in game racism being used to get valids?

Immediately demote sec that treat races or friends differently. They are the scum of security.

Would also highly suggest using chem implants on those players. The AI under asimov law 2 must activate chem implants to subdue or kill them if they're harming.

This also applies to AIs. I explained this one to a Sybil OOC at one point.

The AI isn't obligated to be extra nice to you as a lizard like they would be required under law 2 for humans. They're not obligated under law 1 to look after your well-being and can totally murder you for doing the same to a human or even some lesser harm to a human. That does not mean, however, that the lizards are required to just roll over and let the borgs murder them. If the AI wants to waste time and effort jumping on the le ebic non-human racism memes and starts making overt threats to or acting threateningly against non-humans, it doesn't get to whine when it gets lynched by non-humans and non-human friendly humans.

otoh if the AI is told by a human to kill a lizard who's been hurting people it has literally no ability to refuse and sec that kill it for that can go fellate a pitchfork

Not entirely though. That's IC conflict on a base level and sec are not AI. They're charged with protecting the entire crew, not just the human crew. If the borgs are ordered by some asshole human to space all the lizards.

1) The AI is obligated to start spacing lizards.
2) Sec is charged with stopping the AI from spacing lizards, however that is. That probably involves disabling the borgs until the order can be countermanded.
3) Lizards in this case are in no ways obligated to get spaced by the AI and can fight back fully to stop being spaced by the borgs/AI.

This is all valid conflict. Additionally, ordering the AI/borgs to genocide all of the non-human races off the station is reasonably grounds for execution in the brig in the same way that any mass-murder would be of any race. If the order was given by a non-antag then admins are also within reason to yell at the guy who gave the order for being a dick.

It's interesting conflict.

Earlier today I was in a round as lizard warden. The AI started making a fuzz about "why does a NON-HUMAN have control over LETHAL WEAPONRY?" Another officer brought in a lizard who had an emag, I let him off with a 10-minute sentence in exchange for a tracking implant and the rest of his TCs, which he did without the complaint. The borg starts cutting power to the cells, futzing with the power, etc. and I use the flasher to remove the borg. The AI announced over sec radio that the HoS office had some shit loose, and can I go secure it? I go "secure" the "loose" "stuff," the AI bolts me in, and the borg kills the lizard for real. HoS and Captain arrive on station, they side with the AI, so I feel bad that I cut the lizard and he died anyway, sneak out of sec, remove my ID and buy a binary key (I tried an agent card too but apparently only syndicates can alter those) so I can take the lizard to cloning without the AI noticing. The CMO agrees to clone and cuff him. I also try to get an assistant to be my bodyguard/interpreter to the AI but no one agrees.

The point is, this round actually was a lot of fun and a lot of stuff interacted in interesting ways, much better than valadin or basically valadin AIs.

Don't worry once lizard language gets merged they'll be disabled config side

You can make all the assertions you want but from what I've seen lizards haven't, as a group, caused any more trouble than assistants. Per capita I'd wager they cause even less trouble than greyshirts. People losing their shit because lizard players cooperate with other lizards is pretty dumb too since a lot of push is going towards trying to get departments and members of departments to work together instead of playing solo-protag adventures. Whining when players cooperate based on having a similar race is just backwards. If it takes adding races and racial languages to get players to cooperate towards common goals, lets get on it.

Pretty much all the metagangs/cliques are lizards.

There aren't even any lizard metagangs anymore since the ostation clique left

until i see actual ingame evidence of lizards becoming a problem or lizard languages becoming a problem i'm not gonna hop on a bandwagon for either side

what's the worst possible scenario here? lizard language leads to people completely ruining rounds? then we remove it, I don't see the issue

I won't say it's a problem to add, it just brings ptsd and the bad taste back.

There's still a few metacliques of two but as bandit said they're gone.

This is case by case. If you're doing it to banbait it's as frowned upon as any other method to get into fights FNR, if it just kind of happens out of the sheer RACE WAR mentality which it often does then so be it, that kind of thing happens. Not really sure that there's much more to say policy wise, and if you're linking these images to show a mysterious metagang on the servers, it'd do you well to provide more context.

Other headmins, feel free to weigh in. Probably gonna lock this soon if nobody has anymore to say that's actually on topic.

Links were from a conversation I was having with slig in their tgstation discord, dunno who they are was just wondering because they describe an admin letting them off on the "he called me a ligger thing" the original point of discussion in discord was languages being added and the effect it will have on the server.

Rule -1: If it's funny and people are enjoying themselves don't bother shoehorning yourself into the situation.
