ban friendly wizards

>make a gamemode that has 1 goal, a superpowered dude with loads of deadly powers fighting against the crew
>they sit in the bar wearing a frilly dress RPing with their buddies for 2 hours
>people who wanted to play wizard get told off for "WOW WHY ARNT U ENJOYIN THE GAME THE SAME WAY WE DO", argument applied in reverse
>it's now pseudo extended but maybe with magic wands for everyone if they hit summon magic

can we just ban friendly wizards, and remove the muh RP argument for it

if you want to play friendly RP wizard ask an admin to set up an extended event for it or something

Wizard as a mode actually sucks IMO. It's 30 minutes of hunt down the magical bastard, except there's very little fun action and more of running around the station for 20 minutes just to catch a glimpse of the wizard before he jaunts out. If you're lucky, once you've killed the wizard, it won't mulligan or the admin will decide to gift you a round end- otherwise you're stuck in pseudo extended with half the crew dead for the next twenty minutes.

really we should be removing wizard's ability to completely avoid all harm for 30 minutes, they need to be directly confronting the crew

Mulligan in wizard rounds is the worst, seriously why is that even a thing.

Summoning guns/magic is what prevents the round from ending as it creates new antags

Without tc trades, you won't really get far with that, I believe. I think most admins will only allow a wizard outfit and one or two spells then you're done. The other issue is people even roleplaying with you.

There's exceptions to this, though. As a friendly necromancer during halloween, I tc traded to be a necromancer. It was fun to have skeleton minions and fuck around without being a shitlord.
