contributors work hard to shape up what the game is today, enable credits.
also if you complain i'm gonna take a wild guess and you're only complaing because

What the game is today is one where the roundstart engine is the SM, clock cult is a round type, gangs isnt a round type, mining is full of all sorts of dumb stuff, R&D isn't even a real job anymore, and chem requires a notepad open with a bunch of recipes to copypaste.

I don't want Credits unless Exadv1 is present. And he never was in that list.
Wanting your name up on a screen is just dumb narcissism. Not even i'm that narcissistic.
You're not special. Your recognition is already on the Github, you don't need to shove it in our faces every round and delay round-end.
Do you even know how many contributors there's been to this project? If you're gonna complain about fairness then you're gonna have to include all of them. And fat luck there.

yeah, when we did have credits running, it was really annoying to see people who had like two PRs in there but not people with like a hundred

Coder credits were widely disliked when they were enabled, and there is no reason for them aside from ego inflation. As has been stated earlier, GitHub already has credits, so putting them at the end of the round serves little purpose. Threads like this have been made by OP in the past so there is hardly a reason to do the same discussion again.

Feels like a dumb idea that no one wants, only if it's a toggle-on preference that defaults to off and even then maybe. And also yeah it blocking your screen was kinda dumb and felt cheap

I don't really care for the credits. Partly because I just don't think they're needed. Partly because they miss the point of credits (theatrical productions always have a matching list of the actors/actresses before any of the technical roles) and it doesn't really add anything to the game experience. I don't feel like its something the game actually wants or needs more than something a couple coders would like to have back for vanity reasons.

The headcoder doesn't want credits and I don't see any reason to add them myself.
Think for a moment how much you care about movie credits. Divide that by twenty and you have how much people care about spaceman credits.

I spoke to Naksu yesterday or the day before about this.
Why not make credits at round start. Players are still often trying to do/watch shit in the endgame and it's only 60 seconds. The only thing you're ruining at round start it admin lobby memes which don't happen that often.
