Bug abuse - is it ok and how much?

See title, I had thought that abusing non-round-ruining bugs was ok, but was noted for it when I did it today. In addition, it seems like there's a bunch of confusion on bug abuse.

Is bug abuse ok, and if so, how much?

Realistically, none of it is okay.

Unless it's some obvious shit where you'd have to be dumb to go 'nah it's fine i see nothing wrong lol' then it depends at the time on what admin(s) is on and what their opinions are.

If you know something shouldn't happen do not abuse it. Abuse automatically implies some sort of in game advantage or malice. Report the bug like a responsible player.

Context: OP got a note for abusing a reported bug intentionally, which while it wasn't round ending or outrageous (duping some water vapour canisters) they felt they were entitled to do.

If you do this then you don't really get to defend your bug abuse.

At worst, a ban.
At best, we just fuck with you icly in that round while warning you.

Entitled is a bit of an overstatement, I didn't know it wasn't allowed in the first place

Also if it's not supposed to be done, there should actually be a rule against it

When I questioned you about it, you immediately came back saying that you had had admins approve it in the past. When I asked for a name to cross reference this with you provided a screencap of a maintainer (who is not an admin) telling you which rules might apply for bug abuse.

Then after I gave you the note you came back, asking if an admin witnessing you abusing the bug and not pulling you up on it was sufficient precedent.

Have common sense. Do not exploit something to the detriment of the people around you. It's not fun being killed/robusted/beaten/hampered/interfered with/whatever you want to call it by something that shouldn't be happening. We shouldn't need a verbatim rule/precedent to bloat the rule book with about why abusing (which once again, implies ill intent) bugs/exploits is a bad thing.

These are the people I keep warning about "IT WASNT IN DA RULES" and why everybody else complains the rules page is too long. Either profoundly stupid, or will fake it long enough to try and get out of trouble.

Water vapor cannisters are hell when people open them. Surely you were intending to use them or have others use them indirectly. Having a fuckton of those opened would street into round ruining.
