Mimes and signing gloves.

We should be able to kill mimes for using signing gloves. It is no different than them using their voice to talk.


If you are a mime you need to act like a mime and mime out your actions or suffer the wrath of the crew.

I just roleplay that I don't know sign language, because why would someone without the quirk understand it?

This is why my static that's more socially-competent always asks if people understand sign language before she says anything else in sign.

There's a positive quirk that gives them to you without any downside other than quirk points. Although its not the gloves that enable signing (the quirks themselves do that), they enable speaking over radio with sign language. Without the gloves you can sign, just not on the radio.

This might be off topic, but who thought making sign language be transmittable over a radio was a good idea?
Like... SIGN LANGUAGE, you need to make SIGNS, if I flip my phone off it wont call someone and call them a retard.

People want unique characters but not for those unique characters to change their gameplay in any noticable way

I think it’s dumb, personally. If you’re mute you shouldn’t be able to talk over the radio at all. Use a PDA if you’re in a jam and pray the recipient isn’t dead, maybe

Remove the craftable version and make the version that quirks currently give, something researched by Sci and printable at any lathe.

Playing mime and trying to get around the mimes gimmicks, mechanics and restrictions still doesn't change that you are a mime.

You picked the role, honor it.

So in short, yes, using signing gloves to get around the mimes speech restrictions is the same as a mime speaking regularly.

... Even if it is kind of an oversight when it comes to mimes being able to do this with the gloves.
