It's funny and if you ban it there will inevitably be borderline cases and issues regarding that. Being able to say anything you want short of raping someone is fair enough. It's one of the reasons tgstation is a good server.

ERPers shouldn't be wasting antag or important jobs, but aside from that who gives a fuck.

I find the whole thing ludicrous, but who gives a shit. It makes for interesting situations. Many of my favourite spessmans anecdotes start with "So I walk in these two people fucking and..."

ERP could be funny if it wasn't done every other round by antags and heads, like it is now.

For all the time I've been playing, I've never seen or heard any ERP. Ever.

Seriously, that's never been a problem until you people started to make forum posts about it.

How many ERP cases that you couldn't avoid happened like in the past two weeks? A month?

Is that seriously such a problem that you cannot avoid in any way, shape or form other than banning it?

Considering I've only seen in game ERP twice, saw it only around 6 or 7 times while observing, and only have heard it it ruining an entire round once, I'm inclined to let it stay.
I'm sorry if you don't like it. I never do it myself, but if other people want to have fun roleplaying in a roleplaying game that's not my issue.

I don't mind as long as they don't take up antag roles. The occasional ling that lures you in with sex is a time honored tradition, but if you sit in a room with your little fuckbuddy and say, "Hey guess what I'm a traitor but I'm not gonna do anything, here take my stuff!", then fuck you.

You're not going to make the round entertaining for anyone else by holing yourself up and basically ignoring the rest of the station while we twiddle our thumbs bored as fuck wondering why nothing is happening. Turn off your preferences or get antag banned.

I believe that it should partially work like it worked on Bay before they removed it, with that if you take an important position (heads, or antag) you are expected to do them, and not fuck off to ERP.

It's not that a case needs to be made as to why ERP should be removed. A case needs to be made as to why ERP should be kept. So a better set of polls would be "Do you ERP while playing on /tg/station?" and "Do you enjoy watching or participating in ERP on /tg/station?".

People who ERP should find a more appropriate venue. I don't want to see it personally.

Admins should still be able to mess with them though, just like they can mess with WGWers
