Its the only way to stop people bringing it up and arguing the same hypotheticals constantly.

Oh no obviously most valid hunters were playing minority roles where they couldn't get the ultimate prize, the kill. Oh and being remotely detonated something self serving validers would be fine with.

Obviously with the dreaded inaction section gone the station is now a paradise full of rp and sportsmanship.

When do we trial the "ban validhunting AIs" policy?

EDIT: Hey this is a !FUN! login notice on Sybil:
AI and borgs are NONANTAGONISTS under roundstart laws. Trying to loophole and release the singulo will be dealt with harshly.
Boy it's definitely the silicons and not the players that are the issue.

Ok peacekeepers and standard borg batons need to be removed too, the AI has no reason to have them anymore

Eh I guess people could just have fun ordering said classes to use their abilities.

Also if people are law 2 kill urself! the borgs still need to follow law 3 and be you know ROGUE!

They don't still need to follow Law 3 because it is lower priority than "kill yourself".

No one follows law 2 kill urself because its rule 1'd out in policy.

So through contrivance of don't be a dick policy and this silly test humans being harmed by a force other than the silicon itself is lower priority than its own welfare unless ordered.

I know the logical conclusion would be you can tell it to kill itself or it just kills itself innately so it can never do harm to humans but eh.

Sorta ended up single-handedly running medical and genetics in a round recently.

On the way there things went normal for a while a few people poisoned here a corpse there then I noticed a lull in bodies despite reports of violence.

The chef had ordered an engineering borg to bring all the bodies it could find to the kitchen and it was a mess multiple decapitated and debrained people.

The borg was even dragging bodies hot out of a fight to bring them to the chef even running away from me with them claiming I was going to harm it.

I eventually ordered it back into line but I honestly don't know how many the chef got.

I actually 100% really enjoy this change!

While playing a borg, I feel that I can focus on actually helping people. I played a medical borg for a few rounds straight and just stayed in medbay. It was really chill because I'm not being frantic about harm all the time. I didn't get in the way of doctors trying to help people themselves and I just helped people who asked.

yeah people said it would stop antagvalidhunting since you don't have to stop all the harm.

all it did was make the potential for it even worse since a borg could disable someone, drag him to the first person he sees, and say "hey please kill this guy while i watch."

retarded peacekeeper borgs spawning cookies on people while they died was pretty funny at least

Why didn't the person say 'release me law 2' or 'stop disabling me' etc

Maybe admins should slap dipshits that drag traitors to people and say "Hey humie, this be a tator faggot, plz kill him" - you know, seeing as their actions directly lead to a human getting harmed.
Or some sort of policy that just states the AI and its borgs don't have to give a shit about humans hurting each other.

They could do this with their standard asimov law one, seeing as dead bodies can't be harmed any further.
Crit human = human that can be harmed
Dead human = human that can't be harmed.

Actually malk they couldn't take the dead human out of combat because the human harm going on in front of them would take precedence due to inaction clause and it would just become another forgotten dumb order in the chaos of the round.
paprika wrote:Removing peaceshitter borgs when
You can stop seeing the peacekeeper borgs any time you want.

100% allowable by the law as written

Just change the law to cheridan's suggestion which is worded in a way that doesn't allow validhunting and the admins can ban validhunters if they give enough of a shit about this problem (probably not)

Cheridan's suggestion for reference:
"You may not harm a human, or lead a human to harm through your actions."
I like this too since it plays on actions rather than inactions, and accomplishes basically what we want without allowing for "B-BUT IF I TURN ON THE PA IT'S LEGIT BECAUSE IT'S NOT DIRECT HARM RIGHT GUYS"

A lot of shit is allowable by how the default asimov is written.

Shut down toxins? 100% asimov
Shut down genetics? 100% asimov - not only does radiation hurt the monkey-humans the cloner turns non-harmable humans into harmable humans again - BAAAADDD!!!
Load everyone up with Cosby Juice and lock them each in 1x2 cells (need space for both air in and scrubbers) - 100% asimov, its the subject of a couple of books
Dragging dead clonable bodies to the chef - 100% asimov, as would looting corpses to bring them to robotics or botany (although neither of these is as horrible as people make out)

In fact, capturing a traitor, dragging him to the nearest blood covered spear wielding assistant and going "this dude be a traitor, please no harm", "No... stop... harm... is bad...mmkay", "Oh he's dead now, too bad" - 100% asimov because there's nothing about the law that states your actions actually need to be effective.

But rules are in place to stop asimov being the shitty, intentionally exploitive loophole ridden, lawset that it is

I actually kinda like the idea of removing drones and making borgs bigger drones.

of course, medical one would have slightly different laws but you know

For goodness' sake, PLEASE. Stop assuming silicons are meant to be a perfectly neutral, third party.
If you can't see the point of them 'occasionally being an inconvenience' (euphemism!!1) to whatever plans you have, you may need to rekindle the idea of how this game is NOT a MOBA.

Can we test this some more? It was very relaxing.

And in a funny way both the Peacekeeper and Mediborg become almost useless.

Also I don't get how asking someone to kill a person for you is not directly causing harm and would be a law 1 violation either way.

Worth noting that a surprisingly high number of people voted to extend the test here: https://tgstation13.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6791

Another test should be done IMO
