So here's an idea for an experiment RE Stickymayhem days. Why not make Thursdays a 0 rule day on sybil?
Just to be clear this would be game rules and not server rules, shit like ddosing, ban evasion and any of that crap would still warrant a ban.
I guess meta comms might be the only bone of contention as to if that counts as a game rule or a server rule.

Either way it could be interesting to see what happens. Most likely it be a crazy free-for-all, but then again players have interesting ideas of emergent play.

I'm not a game admin right now and I wouldn't be able to action this even if I were. Just like to hear why this might work or might not.

We did low rules, not 0 rules.

-No metacomms
-No random murder
-No destroying the whole round (singulo/atmos)
-AI and antag rules still in place

Basically people could fuck around and escalation was relaxed/non existent

I believe doing this frequently will get boring really quickly. But I might do a low-rules round somewhere near the future to see how it goes.

Goon has a similar "butt day" which is the 13th of every month. They also have a big pop up about it to make sure people connecting know when its time to fuck around.

Could it not be a bi-weekly thing instead?

As one of the few sibyl admins left I would be alright if we had a low rules day or fuck even constant low rules. Things are much more interesting when everyone isn't walking on egg shells afraid of a ban.

also, weekly is a terrible idea, monthly could work.

opposed to it if it's weekly, but a biweekly/monthly deal with the rules described above (random murder is still a no no) it could be fun

I allowed humorous ERP with the caveat that anyone can grief you. if it was just nasty you still got banned though [which no one did]

The "no rules" is a misnomer and it should likely be changed, because I don't think many people want an straight up no rules day

Is there even any point talking about it, I mean anyone who makes an argument for erp is called an immature child and even if it did become a thing again, some admin would just re-ban it without reason.
