Or add in baymed, where you can technically take a few rounds and keep going because the silly bugger only hit your arm.

Because unless that sort of thing is added the damage isint goina get buffed, due to balance.

The Singularity and Gravity Generator should produce a beautiful, shimmering ambience light.
Purple light from the Singularity (although theoretically shouldn't a black hole be sucking light? Maybe it could produce just darkness...) and green ambient lightning from the Gravity Generator Room would be so cool.
And Nar'Nar could produce an alarming, strong, red light aura!
Tcomms, AI Upload and AI Chamber could have a light blue ambience because of the blue floors.

And on another note it would be awesome if the rotating sun would actually produce light outside in space, instead of whole space being a lighted up environment.

Lighting is fucking TERRIBLE.

Oh and it should be made possible to build the TEG (Thermo Electric Generator) on any station through supply crates and assembling or by manually building them from scratch.
i'll leave rewriting our entire lighting system to support colored light up to you.
this is just going to be ass to do, but it would be really cool if it could happen :v

Why the fuck can't we type in BPM.

As someone with wireless, it takes 2 years to put in 218 BPM.

You mean BPM in the musical instruments? While you import a song, you can type in the BPM.

Surgical tools should be start stored in an Operating Theatre locker, in one big mess, so before a surgery they should be assembled on to the table if the surgeon wants to be efficient (so people can get a small feel what it's like to be a real life nurse muh realisms).

Btw I made the ghetto surgery -section on the wiki a lot easier to follow for the ghetto surgeon, in hopes of people doing surgery more, even if it's just ghetto gender reassignments on the dirty maintenance tunnel floor!

Speaking of Surgery, I just got this coded and it works for all surgeries:

Mute has grabbed Unknown passively!
Unknown has been laid on the operating table by Mute.
Mute drapes the surgical drapes over Unknown's groin to prepare for a gender reassignment.
You should make a small incision.
Mute begins to make an incision in Unknown's groin.
Mute succeeds!
You should clamp some bleeders in the patient.
Mute begins to clamp bleeders in Unknown's groin.
Mute succeeds!
You should shape the patient's genitals.
Mute begins to reshape Unknown's genitals to look more feminine.
Mute has made a woman of Unknown!
You should close the wound.
Mute begins to mend the incision in Unknown's groin.
Mute succeeds!

The bold sections are what's new.

i dunno
it seems too hand-holding for surgery
if you dont know surgery procedures you can easily just look at the wiki and do all of them

What? I'm literally baffled by your logic here. Why should looking things up on an external site be mandatory? It's the same information just displayed in a more user-friendly way.

Why the hell don't we just make everything magically spawn guidelines? Let people put at least SOME effort into the bloody thing. Surgery barely requires any skill already and you want to dumb it down even further?

I fail to understand how having to look up information on an external site makes you more pro and skillful, or rather, I don't understand how not having to look up things makes the game 'baby' you, when it's the same result, just one is ingame and takes less time for the end user to get that information.

External resources being required should be avoided wherever possible, having a wiki page open in another tab really doesn't count as compelling gameplay rather than just "unclear game design".
This is a good change and the wording does not just say "use the scalpel", it leads you on. Maybe it could be a little more vague though, like describing the patient's condition as a clue rather than "you should x".

Re: Minor Suggestions

I'd prefer instructions being shown on the computer next to the surgery table. It wouldn't feel as hamfisted, with enough creativity you could slip in some fluff about the patient's condition. (or just have the now useless computer link to the wiki  )

Alright, I'll move it to the Op computer, Provided there is an easy link between Surgery code and the table and comp that handle surgery.
Otherwise it'll require some more work.

Well then it's better to replace surgery with some magic machine, because at this point surgery steps are nothing but minor annoyance

What's the point in even having surgery

If you like it for flashy descriptions it spits out when you click, make it like a surgery robot that will do the same but you only have to press one button

You can do surgeries in other places besides robotics and surgery room though. I know particle accelerator code checks for nearby accelerator parts, you could modify that to check for nearby operating computers.

I like it that way. Newbie Robos and MDs can table a patient and read the recommended steps from the operating monitor. Once these players become more robust, they can do the procedures with just tools and a cleaver/hatchet/armblade.

The op computer has references to the Patient, so I simply went Patient --> Surgeries list --> Surgery --> Surgery steps.

Also, I went ahead and swapped the old White popup window on the Op computer with one of the slightly sexier black ones (Not NanoUI sadly, that's undocumented and way over my head)

Really cool 10/10
Having the instructions pop up in the message window kinda suggested that every spacemen is a trained doctor, this is a lot better.

At some point I should change the descriptions on R-walls to hint at the next step for construction/deconstruction. Stuff like "This is a reinforced wall. Its outer casing is gone. Heavy bolts are keeping the rods in place."

Pineapple tree for botany.

Then you can add pineapple pizza and roasted ham with pineapple.

And when you mutate it you get a pineapple grenade tree which work like IEDS.

If you smell the bottom of the pineapple, you can tell if it's good. If the bottom has no smell, it won't taste sweet, but if it smells like pineapple, it's good.

Also: In zero gravity, lockers should be counted as walls (enabling you to move). It was awful to navigate through armory in zero g because I was getting stuck between lockers and I always had to throw shit to get myself moving again.
And zero gravity punching should project both targets in opposite directions.

Change the mech interface to use chemistry interface style buttons instead of the weird hyperlink style of thing. At the moment you can frequently click it and not actually have it affect anything. You have to spam any given command, which is silly and unnecessary.

you still have to code a system that properly mixes the colors and such. easy is not the word I would use. 500 makes it feasible because it makes us not need a sprite for every single possible color ever.

Capsaicin oil from peppers and nova flowers does nothing when sprayed at people. It ought to be the same as the "condensed capsaicin" in pepper sprays.
