I mostly just find the idea of someone coming across the husk like corpse of a traitor who fried himself setting the bomb up and then gibbing it resulting a cardiac arrest inducing amount of salt from said traitor hilarious

What if instead of a prebuilt bomb, it came with a box of bomb parts instead? The bomb you build would be the same as before once fully built, but now you'd need to spend a (hopefully significantly long) amount of time making the thing.
