Sidescrolling meme

Ok I had this idea, couldn't you techincally convert this game into a sidescroller by forcing east/west dirs only and making some kind of gravity to force people southwards when not standing on a 'surface' (wall to your south)? I'm pretty sure there's a few sidescrollers made in DM and this could be pretty cool as an experiment.

I know it would literally just be starbound but starbound is fucking trash so it might be a fun project

a platformer with tile-based movement would feel so horribly and hilariously shitty, you'd first have to convert to pixel movement which is a project on its own

If I remember correctly someone actually coded something like this for emagged gravity gens, so everyone would slam against a wall instead of float in the air. It sorta worked if I recall.

It does work but it's taxing on the server so I made it admin only in the PR but it isn't merged yet.
