Remove CereStation
It's too big and, because of that, empty. It's missing vital things (implants for sec, lethal injections in particular). By the time something happens and sec tries to respond, it's well over and the bad guy has fucked off somewhere in a deep dark corner no one will go to.

Cere wasn't intended to have the same population density as other maps. As I explained before, the bridges between the islands add an interesting and unique dynamic to the station.

Don't remove it, however it really feels unfinished and some stuff needs to be done before it's playable.
The other day perma started unpressurized without any breaches or anything.
People keep complaining about maintenance not actually shielding people against radiation.

The map was built with 60+ population in mind while still being able to do shady shit without having to go off-station/some super niche corner of the map so you aren't stumbled on by every assistant and their lizard finding you while scouring maintenance.

If you don't like it, set your preference to a different map. The main point is that the main reason it gets played as much as it does is because there are people who enjoy the shake-up from typical station design and even have it set as their preferred map.

There's been people stating in OOC that they set both Delta and Ceres in their game preference just to piss off people because if the map switches to either there's a lot of complaining in OOC. The internet being the internet is people enjoy watching other people lose their shit.
Problem I have is mostly the players aside from some flaws in the map. If the map is delta(well I don't like delta in general) or Ceres people seem to tide waaaaay more intensively compared to Meta/Box.
I am not sure if that's because people want the round to end earlier, don't like the map and just want to be shits or whatever.
It's not an argument against your map, it's just the reason why I don't like playing it currently. I hope it gets more popular, ironed out and get the same kinda love as meta/box gets.

Multi-story setup was a definite choice I wanted to go with but our code lacks the interesting mechanics that other servers have with multi-z stations and current attempts to remake/port so far have seek to of been futile.DrPillzRedux wrote:Too much pointless, open space inside. When I last played perma was almost completely depressurized on roundstart, I am not sure if that's a map bug or whatever.
It would be nice if you could extend rad protection to the airlock areas or find another color for the doors. Having to hover and look at the name of each maint looking door is pretty hectic especially when you're dragging a prisoner to the brig and you're in the middle of one of the bridges and scramble to find a proper area in limited time.
I am not sure if the pads are set up at roundstart but it would be nice if they point to escape as a default.
Does medbay have a pad? Seems like it could be pretty useful to deliver corpses to them.
The layers of rwindows on the bridges might be nice thicker because it's pretty easy to cause breaches and depressurizing as is.
Another suggestion is naming the doors to the AI core /and/ tcomms not just being named AI Core, I couldn't find tcomms when something fucked with it and I initially disregarded that location because all I saw was AI core on the doors and the AI bolted them so I figured they might not be there and I didn't have a bounced radio to yell at the AI to unbolt.
On station bounced radios, is there one in the brig? I can't recall.
I really fucking like the central brig office layout as a warden, though the perma is kinda useless with more than one prisoner, even with the transfer thing. Some better separation might be nice.
Also the transfer center is brutal, and your intention seems to be more beat people to death rather than painless execution. I can dig that. I'd love a room/tools so we could do basic surgery like box/meta has though. Sometimes we do implants but most of the time it's for brain extraction so we can borg people without worrying about some greytide trying to steal the corpse to clone it or whatever.
I personally don't like the big door sprites, it just feels out of place.
