This way Aliens can create some hives when on the mining z-level. Alternatively make it a Drone/Queen only thing.

So people enslave them and make them mine minerals?

That would be hilarious. If only there were a way to enslave aliums.

Dont really see the point. They already have plenty of places on the mining asteroid to make hives, and rarely do Aliens get the chance to build a base in the first place.

Maybe something like a faster, cheaper acid spit on mining walls? Might be better to just make their esword-hands into esword-pickaxe-hands.

Probably not a bad idea but it'd be odd if mineral rock walls could be destroyed but not station walls.

You have no idea, plenty of suggestions and even sprites around for it to happen.

You can put their brains inside cyborg bodies.

Where's the FUN in that though? No, no, that's too safe. NanoTrasen is a COST EFFICIENT company that isn't going to spend precious metal resources making robotic bodies for filthy xenos brains.
Now, if you were to find some quick and dirty way of enslaving a live xenos for slave labor? Now we're talking. We already use criminals for forced labor and (formerly) lizardmen for cheaper employees. Why not go a step further and make xenobio have some legitimate non-slime work to do. Be it collar or implant, have the difficult act of capturing a live and sentient xenos rewarded.

Come to think of it, while on the topic of enslaving xenos for labor uses, golden grubs might be modified for such use if a lazerus injector plus other items are used. Maybe make them rideable as they zoom through the solid rock of the asteroid, or have a chariot that is dragged behind them. Have a miner vending machine item that makes them vomit their goods but has a chance of killing them. Now I'm getting a bit off topic though.

Regarding Borgs with Xeno brains. Sprites for those are already created. Making them Xeno-brain only borgs could work.

What about Xeno cages, like the cages we see for corgis and the such, except it's purplish green and xenomorphs have a hard time escaping.

If you are following the lore of the Alien universe, then i do not believe they can be controlled. Many tried and many died trying to enslave Aliens. Thats why i like the idea of finding Facehuggers on the Mining Asteroid and bringing them to Xenobiology for study, and eventually them escaping. Its very similar to the plot of the movies.

What about bomb collars? If they misbehave, then boom goes their heads.

Then they would go boom or find a way to remove the collar. Atleast that is what i believe the canon Aliens would do. Once again, they are not creatures that are meant to be controlled.

WJohnson already made the sprites, might be time to add them properly.

I misread this as "Allow Aliens to Mime". Mining alien slaves sounds cool tho.

Ok so like, saddles, for aliens.

And whips to keep them in line.

Alien cavalry for the miners to increase efficiency.

Monkey was a gamemode before Xenos were ever a thing, possibly even before any sort of plans for something like Xenos were a thing. It's honestly just grandfathered in as a gamemode at this point, with a few token attempts to improve it.
