Boomerangs

Get a boomerang throw it at a man. If it hits him it does damage. Hit his hand to make him drop things maybe! If you miss it comes back...maybe you can catch it! If you wear THE OWL outfit, your disarm and catch chance increase.

Why we need: so owl has ranged options for being a hero. Put the boomerangs and a reinforced bola and a utility belt for holding them in the Owl's Nest hidden in maintenance. And an owl outfit.

Wearing the Owl costume should make you incapable of using guns.

Because, as we all know, the Owl's tragic backstory is that tasers killed his parents and he refuses to use them, or any form of gun, ever since

this sounds actually neat, wouldn't be hard to code a weapon that forces drop on impact, if people think this is a good idea.

The only way I can think of doing this feels really hacky and if you moved at all the boomerang would fly right past you also I don't have sprites

If somebody else wants to tackle it, hook a prob for disarm into throw reaction (check bola code), and when the throw is completed you could start a second throw back towards the thrower (which would be tricky since if you call a throw in a thing called by throws you'll have an infinite loop so you'll probably have to do some kind of hack). IIRC flight speed is an arg in the throwing proc so you can make it go not-instant when it's thrown too (see paper plane code, I think it touches this).

boomerang esword has the damage of an esword, attacks way slower but throwing delimbs the targeted limb (heads and chests can't be for obvious balance reasons)
