Replacing RnD with the mechanic job from goonstation

For those of you that don't know, the mechanic has a item that allows them to scan items or weaponry and upload it. They can then print the blueprints and deploy the machinery.

Advantages:

1. Lots more stuff to build (could be nearly any item on the station)

2. More interaction between departments (going around cloning medbay, engineering etc)

3. Special and unique items available only to RnD could be either ordered from crates OR found on ruins (spess exploration anyone?)

One time in /vg/ I found the happiest mask and the mechanic scanned it. It ended with half the crew shaded, everyone happy, and the captain having a power struggle with sec and the HoS as we tried to make them join us in happiness.

Anyhow what I was getting to is our current playerbase isn't fit for something like this unless it has heavy modifications, and space exploration for the basis of upgrades would be better in planet station than our current setting.
