Idea: welders melt freon ice

Since certain objects already melt ice (welders and other) why not let them melt Freon ice?

Apply welder -> no more ice!

the only ways i ever see it used is either a) cooling the engine or b) griff, and guess which one is more prevalent

It should be useful for freezing certain things, like being a better cryo gas, or making Lavaland into a winter wonderland.

Just allow people to walk over iced tiles without slipping. It does work with water after all, which may or may not be as slippery as freonized ice. Either way, I found it to be far less of a hazard that way.

its not real ice, its a figment of your imagination and it will re-freeze over afterwards unless you fuckily code bodge to somehow heat the tile afterwards

Considering how much shit it fucks up. It's already bannable to stick it into distro iirc unless things have changed since it lagged out the server.

This really should be fixed before nerfing Freon. "Antags can do anything except rape people" is a understandable rule. "Antags can do anything except rape and some very specific thing that you need to knol about and dear god dont you do it by accident" isn't.

freon is extremely useful on box/meta as an engi when some chucklefuck tries to blow the sm by sucking one of the shards and ends up starting the delam process
