have the damage scale exponentially with the number of nearby puppy carp, they should be able to strip a space cow into a skeleton if there are enough of them!

Carp breeding

Every 5 or so minutes, carp in close proximity to each other make a puppy carp, and 5 minutes after that the puppy matures

And then buying 20 carp plushies becomes even more fun
