Handcuffing to a briefcase.

WHY IS THIS NOT A THING YET?

>be captain
>put disk in briefcase
>cuff briefcase to self
>walk around with...the disk

I would recommend that only the person who has the briefcase on cuffed to them can remove it unless they are dead/have their arm removed.

Really sounds like the only thing it would accomplish is occupying a hand slot.

Maybe force the nuke ops to spend an extra minute uncuffing you. Only to find a mousetrapped grenade waiting inside the case.

You mean proxy-sensor'd tank transfer valve, of course. Right next to the disk.

If I was really interested in keeping my hand loaded with something, I'd put something in it. There's no need for a device that disables one hand but not the other. Removing this item off a captain as a nuke op would take no longer than removing his backpack (which ops routinely do already.) Function precedes addition.

It may be pointless but it's not like having pointless shit is pointless. :D

It'd be nice to have just so you don't drop the briefcase when you get stunned or slip

Potential idea for adding handcuff keys? Maybe removing handcuffs takes 4x as long without having the keys in your hand?

I like this.

Also, this is an RP game, I would love to RP a captain securing the disk with a cuffed briefcase and rushing around with sec trying to protect me and the disk. I also like the idea of not dropping it when stunned (this would obviously have to be implemented).

I also like the idea of having a slightly extra "fuck you" to the ops if they manage to get the captain/whoever down. Adds a bit of a hurdle that means they need to either fend off people while they remove the briefcase, or drag the body off to somewhere safer.

Essentially the addition of this would add one extra strategy/RP element and it's not exactly a buff to anyone (remember you end up with a hand slot taken up still).

tbh i have no idea how to code this
you could use handcuffs on the thing to make it NODROP and then click it again to remove the handcuffs but idk how other people would remove it.

Port dismemberment from NT, so you can slice their arm off to get the briefcase.

Isn't the briefcase emaggable too which is why its pretty much useless to begin with? Being able to use handcuff on it to make it harder to remove it from a person would be quite an improvement and at least it nerfs the captain for a time given he would only have one hand.
