We need elves, no one likes them, infact they'll replace liggers as the most hated species that disgraced the universe.
Pros:
More things to complain about.
Feel good about teaching knife eared assholes lessons.
More creative insults.
Cons:
We added elves into the game.

They would basically just be another form of gene mod human, more people for my character to look down on for muddying up the gene pool with mods if they are added I guess.

Sure, but they take DoT from standing on or wearing metal, unless in the garden or botany rooms on station
Or using metal tools
They can make wooden equivalents to almost every tool for a pretty hefty wood cost and can only be botanists
They can only use bows and crossbows as ranged options
Oh and you can amputate their ears and make bloody headwear out of them for giggles
